I mean.. they have the remakes that are out for this and Spyro.. why is this shocking? In the other thread (the announcement one for this), a lot of people instantly cancelled those out cause of the already established remakes. That's clearly the reason why both Spyro and Crash games are missing.

Yeahhhhhhhh. Glad I didn't pre-order. I'll continue to play my PS1 games on my Vita.

List seems neutered due to recent rereleases/ports.

Shocked we got Metal Gear. Was expecting Konami to try their hardest to prevent it from being re-released cause "Fuck Kojima amirite?"

Not a great list. A lot of first gen titles. No Wipeout? Rainbow 6? Bit strange really, but good number of straight up classics at least.

Toshinden and Destruction Derby are great surprises

This thing is going to sell like hot cakes.

There are 5-6 of these I would have happily replaced with something better. I mean Mr.Driller? Really?

Not having Crash Bandicoot feels like a crime. I know some people who are out of gaming now that were considering getting it if it had Crash.

I didn't expect it to be that good of a list actually. Not quite good enough to make me want to buy, but much better than I feared due to the delay.

Hope the JP version has a few extras (swap out Rainbow Six, Twisted Metal, etc for something) and I'd be all in. But get the feeling since Mr Driller, Persona and Toshinden are in this that it's a worldwide list.

I'm amazed Alundra isn't on this thing. One of Sony's highest-rated first-party titles in the PS1 era, has aged supremely well, no licensing issues...

Also, I understand why, but no Ape Escape also feels weird.

The original Grand Theft Auto seems like an unnecessary addition that's only there because of the series' star-power. A pretty unremarkable game altogether.

Considering the current remaster of crash being sold, as well as Spyro coming out soon and Medievil being worked on, no way they were going to be on this.

I don't think people will ever read me, but there is two Director's Cut

Yeah, pretty much just a Tekken 3 machine for me. I have every other PS1 game I need either through PS1 Classics on my PS3 or still owning the disc.

Even though I understand the lack of Crash and Spyro, lack of games like motortoon and gran turismo is not good to me.

I wanted Silent Hill, RE2 and ISS Pro Evolution.

Yep, Japan gets the better list as expected. Though I'm surprised they aren't getting DQ VII on it.

Another thing:

PS1 is a hard thing to narrow down 20 - 30 games, especially when Crash/Spyro are being remastered, so it would be a strange use of spaces to put any of them in there. For the N64, I feel you could narrow down a perfect list of 20 games without a "glaring" omission, but for PS1, it's really damn difficult. Lack of Gran Turismo I can see being strange considering that's one of the most successful franchises. Otherwise, there are a lot of great big ones that need to be there (FF7, MGS, RE1) and smaller ones that are dope and really should be exposed to more people (Intelligent Qube).

I'd prefer Twisted Metal 2 over 1, though.

The list is the definition of lukewarm for me.

But I like:

That honestly might be it, but I guess I can discover some of the other titles that I've never played and become pleasantly surprised. Still, it needed at least 2-3 more bangers. ISS, Gran Turismo, WipEout, Tony Hawks, I don't know...

Unsure whether to keep the preorder or not but at the end of day I'll probably do it for the HW.

I hope it's easy to hack and it supports DS4 via USB.

Hm, a lot of lapses in iconic releases but good overall.

Woah, I was not expecting Rayman and Abe's Oddysee to make the list at all. Pleasantly surprised. It's an unusual combination of games. As people have said, I'm surprised that Tomb Raider and Crash aren't there.

G Darius, SaGa Frontier and Parasite Eve hurts a lot.

They should have put SaGa Frontier, I would have been elated with that

I really like the Japanese list, but not interested in the U.S. selection.

Why do you even bother without Crash, Tony Hawk, SoTN, and Tomb Raider? Disappointing, honestly

I have a preorder, but I think I'll cancel. This list isn't appealing to me, and there are a handful of titles I'm surprised to see left out.

I'm shocked GT2 isn't on this thing, not surprised Crash and Spyro aren't here considering they want you to buy the remakes.

Not amazing, but not bad. There's enough good on there that I'll finally jump on that pre-order.

Toshiden was shit when it came out its even worse now and no RE2 is a huge fail.

I am surprised to see this get on the list at all. I wonder if they plan to fix any of the major problems with this release, or just call leaving all the games untouched, bugs and all, a "feature"? The localization stuff I wouldn't blame them for keeping, but I really hope they fix the Snow Queen quest. That's kind of half the game...

Meh list, I get some games are under licencing hell, but you could have some gems anyway like Bushido Blade, R-Type Delta, Omega Boost, Bloody Roar 2, SoulEdge, Resident Evil 3, Worms Armageddon etc.
Mr Driller and persona are a good surprise tho. If we can sync our PSOne Classic games with the mini, I'm in. But not with that poor list.
