Lost Ark Open Beta Launch Trailer (Korean)

I would absolutely love this to come to the west, but I still fear that it's going to have an incredibly intrusive cash shop like most korean MMO's. Been following it here and there and I would still try it out just for the combat.

definitely gonna check out the streams again
one of the dev letters said they revamped the tripod system, hopefully it's not just lip service
as of closed beta it was still some really basic stuff like A more damage B less cooldown C from single target to AOE

Really want this to come over asap.

For its own sake, this game better come out before Diablo 4 does. Because I have a feeling D4 is going to do a lot of things similar.

While the genres are similar, I think the atmosphere is different enough to cater to different audiences

i consider diablo currently as pseudo mmo, while lost ark is pretty much full blown mmo
a diablo mmo spin off though, then these guys should be worried

I'm not even into these types of games and I desperately want to play this. It looks fucking amazing.

I first interviewed the developers in early 2015. It's about time they release it.

I just hope it won't be too long before it comes here.

Yea it looks interesting. Would just be very hard to justify it over something like Path Of Exile who does MTX so damn well for a F2P game if the MTX are heavily intrusive.

Similar to SWG I believe. You can just play an instrument and be in a band for fun. Possibly to earn money in game for performances.

It is. It's basically an MMO set in and ARPG isometric setting. However it does not have the cheapness feeling of other that tried like Devillian. Supposedly it feels really great and has tons of polish in the closed beta.

The concept of an isometric MMO has always appealed to me (like Lineage or Ultima), but we've never truly had a good, polished one released in a long while.

It's why I'm hoping D4 is going to be more MMO-based like Lost Ark seems to be.

I would be interested but going by current events Korea. Games that even have pretence to mmos are a bad look.
They wull make the cash shop kill the game.
