Did you not shoot anyone? God I'm so pissed right now. I wanted to just shoot Micah in the head once I found that out.
She seemingly disappears once you do a mission with her in Ch.3. It's bizarre.I've had Sadie moping around camp, but I'm still very early in Chapter II.
It's insane how little problems I have with the controls in general for this game. Like I have no problem with any of it, except tapping X to sprint for Roach.
Like I got into a firefight yesterday with free aim and no aim assist against 4 or 5 guys and I had no problem taking them out. The slow pace of the gunfights and slower movement make this game pretty easy to take out enemies.
Remember everyone, TURN DOWN DEADZONE and UP AIM ACCELERATION. I had to fuck with it a little to make it feel better but once I did, mo problems.
Does the only other game you've played happen to be named QWOP?I'm in the same boat as you. After reading the impressions on here I expected the worst, but it feels like a pretty normal game control wise. Maybe a little more stiff than I would like, but nothing egregious.

Is there any detailed explanation of how the bounty system works yet because it seems to be so inconsistent. I did the same mission this evening, with the mask, killed loads of people, no bounty ¯\_(ツ)_/¯So I just helped this fucking idiot Micah
and we slaughtered a whole damn town...
Even though I wore the damn mask I'm still now wanted dead or alive. The bounty is $300. That's like all my money. Should I just get myself killed to have it cleared? What are my options here?
For god's sake, there are so many online games out there. Leave something for sp enthusiasts. Why doesn't Rockstar grow the balls to go the Treyarach way. Since their real expertise lies in the online.

Did Sadie suddenly disappear for anyone else after the first mission taking her into town? (Rhodes) Got her the special request item and she's nowhere in the camp. Looked absolutely everywhere...
From the marketing I really thoughtwould be a more prominent character.Sadie
Ah, ok. I'm actually looking forward to her disappearing. I know she's been through a lot, but... Hopefully not a bug though. She seemingly disappears once you do a mission with her in Ch.3. It's bizarre.
Yep, you gotta book it to some cover while taking a couple of pot shots. Once near a big boulder or building, get into cover and take em outGetting ambushed on the road is really annoying. No cover and trying to shoot them from horseback, usually without much deadeye has resulted in me dying every time so far. Just gonna try booking it next time
So I just helped this fucking idiot Micah

I'm with you on this. Pretty certain the majority of people who thought it was boring thought they were getting GTA on horsesI am baffled by the consensus that the first chapter is 'boring'. I was gripped immediately. It's so elegantly and deliberately paced. Y'all are fuckin' weird.
FUCKING THIS.Getting ambushed on the road is really annoying. No cover and trying to shoot them from horseback, usually without much deadeye has resulted in me dying every time so far. Just gonna try booking it next time
There's an Amazon like store where you can purchase items and unlock them the next time you boot up the game.

When does the mission to unlock fishing happen? Feel like I'm almost done with chapter 2 and it still hasn't happened
Ya.. I am still trying to like the game. It's not a bad game. But just have so many big flaws.Very, very unlikely unfortunately. Ever since GTA 4 their games felt like shit to actually play.
RDR2 really puts it on another level though, you are not really controlling Arthur but rather suggesting him to take a certain direction. And then wait for him to do it...in some way...at his own pace.
Remember everyone, TURN DOWN DEADZONE and UP AIM ACCELERATION. I had to fuck with it a little to make it feel better but once I did, mo problems.
I platinumed RDR1 because I loved it but the online stuff was just not fun. There were a couple of those in the last game I couldn't get and missed the platinum. Was pretty gutting considering I got 100% in the single player. I reckon the posse one will be easier to get on this one mind, it was fruitless on RDR PS3.
My horse is called Janet. Binged Good Place recently.
I'm also very glad fast travel has been nerfed.the absolutely most ridiculous complaint that i read over and over is the fast travel one...it is a game about riding horses, a real cowboy would have even never taken a train back then. here you can take a train, a coach or upgrade the camp to get fast travel
in 30hours i rode the train 2 times from one side of the map to the other. you just miss things when you use quick travel and it just doesn´t fit the tone. this is a game meant to be taken slowly, not zooming around the map, running around the camp and stuff.
there is a reason everything is so slow and deliberate- for example even the collecting herb animation is slow and there for a purpose: it is to take you fully into this time and slow you down. we live in a fast world where everything is connected and mostly directly available, this game is made to take it slow and don´t rush through. it is like being teleported to a different time and place and i just think they have done everything right.
hell, even when it takes you 6months to play through this game, embrace it and don´t get angry at it, there are enough games to rush through but this game just isn´t made for that.
i get when people think it is too slow for them but i for one wouldn´t want this game to be any other than it is. it feels so refreshing and it is a bold move for a AAA game to have everything in place to slow players down and not to rush it.
There is no wrong way. Do what you feel.Right now I'm doing everything I can to avoid leaving Chapter 2. I'm trying to live in this part of the country, doing only what looks like sidequests from the mission descriptions, and playing poker and hunting. Am I doing this wrong?
That's weird, I left without a bounty. Maybe because I killed litterally everybody. Anyways, I'd spend what money you have. Expose yourself to a officer and immediately surrender. They'll throw you in jail and take what money you have left. Then you should be good after. So I just helped this fucking idiot Micah
and we slaughtered a whole damn town...
Even though I wore the damn mask I'm still now wanted dead or alive. The bounty is $300. That's like all my money. Should I just get myself killed to have it cleared? What are my options here?

That's a banger of a kill cam. Would've been even better if it didn't cut to the Arthur shot and went on for a few seconds longer.
I really like the kill cam. It disrupts the pace more often than not, but you get cool little cinematic shots every now and then.
Ok thxOk this was confusing for me and I figured it out. Carry the meat to Pearson, and press the Donate button. Should be a symbol of the animal and uou can donate it
Happened to me, too. Killed the bear but prompt to skin it didn't appear. Had to reload my save and kill it again. So I killed the legendary grizzly but had no option to skin it and the trapper doesn't have it. Have I lost it now?
I kinda wish selecting the fists in the weapon wheel makes you not draw your gun out or something. But all things told, it doesn't really happen all that often, so it doesn't really bother me.I guess it's inevitable with a game this complex, but I am finding myself frustrated by some of the jankiness related to the way people respond to you in the world.
Was standing in a bank and put my controller down and accidentality took my weapon out, quickly picked it up and put it away and walked outside the bank. The lawman inside followed me out and, without warning, escalated it to a shootout.
Also a fella just walked in front of me as I was rounding a corner and almost turned it into a fight which would have resulted in me being arrested as I'm in the middle of town.
Its avoidable mostly, but it does feel janky as hell sometimes.
