Hmm if this is true then I see Ken, Incinceroar, Sora and Pyra as the final characters.
And Mythra could be an Echo because there wouldn't have needed to be a space for her on the box.

Pyra and not Mythra would be a travesty, but on the other hand Mythra as her own character would perfect the roster.
Not that I wouldn't be upset at solo Pyra but that would be the weirdest thing that could possibly been done with this roster so far.

Incineroar is way better than Pyra or Mytrha. Though basically every character in XB2 is better other than Tora.

idk the guy says she might be an echo. Ppl in the 4chan topic say this guy is credible for smash 4 leaks of Bayonetta? I dont really remember so if someone could verify that would be great.
So Sakurai did roll with a Xenoblade newcomer but they used one half of the main duo instead of the protagonist of the most relevant game at the time and during the time when their design wasn't finalized.

The likely scenario in my head is that I don't think Incineroar is part of the base roster, possibly part of a similar scenario as Chrom with Smash 4 (hence why people have heard of his inclusion in the game in some form) then I can only see him or another being in the game as DLC
Pyra without Mythra makes me not believe it.
Rex is allow to have both Pyra and Mythra when he fights. By simplying tapping up during a fight. I feel they would keep that.

It seems like he's implying it's Pyra fighting on her own.
It was like the Pokémon starters for Sakurai. Choose between Rex, Pyra and Mythra. Easy W for Pyra.
That's very easy to implement, hell easier than the whole Rex driver and blade thing.

Not that I don't disagree but the roadmap for how that would happen would be super weird. Like Sakurai would have to hate Elma and X for him to completely pass over Xenoblade X and Elma which I feel Monolith would push more

Pyra is the poster child for Xenoblade 2. I mean she's right there on the damn cover. So she is an obvious pic over Mythra. But I don't see Sakurai including Pyra without Rex. From both a gameplay and story perspective, the blades are more powerful the closer they are to their driver and vice versa.
If you base it off not ever playing the game. Maybe since she's in the cover and most trailers.
If you play the game. Mythra and Pyra are main characters. And Mythra is arguably the Best Blade in the game and more important to the plot.
Pyra does fight solo at several points in XC2, and she's one of the most prominently featured characters. That being said, I imagine the driver-blade concept was established early on in the XC2's development, so it would be interesting to see Sakurai go around that.
