Cobalt Mercy is a Blizzard exclusive nendoJust wait until they start doing variant skin Nendos. You did realize these are all labeled "Classic Skin Edition" right?
It begins...
Yup, what I was fearing. I've already got the 3 different Pharah pops and soon a second Mercy. But at least Mercy is a different sculpt
It makes me wonder how far they are going to go with different types of skins. Looks like Cobalt Mercy has the golden version of her staff too.
Oh my god, her hair.

Only 2B is worth that much.Oh my god, her hair.

$200.....for a FuRyu figure.
Who hasn't always wanted Luggage Miku?
Yeah, FuRyu can get out of here with that. I'd maybe consider it if Alter or Max Factory was the manufacturer, and that's a strong maybe.
Maybe it's time to consider a second job :p
Kidding aside, yeah it's bad now. I've seen lines double in price when compared to 10 years ago.
Otaku Mode is not really a good gauge of prices. They have a pretty high markup that's only offset by promos and bonus points.
The only scales I'll buy these days are horror bishoujo and pre-owned stuff from before 2010 based on niche properties cause they're like $40.
Part of that is regular inflation, sure. But most of it stems from a couple years back when the ¥ was fucked and the exchange rate was like 120:1 in the favor of USD. Eventually Japanese manufacturers got tired of it so they raised prices across the board, then when the JPY evened out, they left prices as they were, because why not? These schmucks were still paying the asking prices without question. So here we are.
IDK, all these figures that I own were released in 2010 (and probably a few more, since MFC updates the searchable "release date" to the latest re-release:
But they're cheap and how else will I get stuff from Summon Night, Haruhi, or Disgaea. ;-;

Pfft you put in a preorder for DX 2B didn't you? :PHonestly, I have a hard time considering anything to be worth that price anymore. Figure pricing has jumped the shark over the past couple years.
Alter did in 2014 and I own her and love her and she is like $40. Phat did in 2017 and she's tanked to $70 since AND she's 1/5 so I think maybe the IP is just cursed.

I'm happy figure prices increased as much as they have. It makes it easier for me to cut-back and only purchase a handful of figures each year, as space concern was becoming an issue.
I wasn't being serious, paying more money always sucks, haha. You could just be more selective about what you buy. Prohibitive pricing shouldn't be a prerequisite.
You have no idea. :(
Yeah, I saw the special base. I do prefer it, but the additional cost of going through a proxy would be too much work. I'm not familiar with Revolve though, do they do good work? I'm also not familiar with the source material, I just love demon girls.Chrono-kun pls. I already got my order in. There's also an exclusive version with a different base, but I thought it makes the figure blend in too much and prefer the contrast of the original base.
Also yes, I'd call that NSFW. There are also like four or five other figures of Chiyo coming out from other manufacturers.

Damn, she's super cute. Wish she wasn't 1/8 though. Probably wait for Dragon Toy's since she'll probably be 1/6 and pair up nicely with Marie. One way or another I'll be grabbing one of these Chiyos though. Love me some hooved cuties. If only Blizzard would do a Yrel statue.I believe someone posted earlier about wanting a figure of a girl with some style with hooves? Well Revolve answered your call.
I'm not sure if it's NSFW or not. It's in the general bishoujo section of AmiAmi so it should be safe, if not I'll remove the link.

Yeah, I can see it. The white of the fluffy base does give a much better contrast.Don't get me wrong, I do like the exclusive base. But I think it obscures the figure itself since it's pretty much the same color as her legs. The standard base adds a nice contrast so the figure can be seen fully and easily. One of the few times I've opted to skip the exclusive.
As for Revolve's quality, most of their MFC figures seem to be rated in the 9's and high 8's. I don't own any of their work yet personally.

I don't particularly like Dragon Toy's sculpt (even though it's 1/6 scale, my preferred size for figures), Max Factory's Chiyo is a bunny girl version, so no hooves. Revolve's look the best so far, IMO.
Teehee indeed!
No arguments there. The paint looks kind of flat on Dragon Toy's as well, honestly. I just don't know where I would put Revolve's is my problem. My only 1/8s are my Odin Sphere and Muramasa sets. Everything else is larger, and I can't stand mismatched scales on a shelf. Don't think I have any 1/8s ordered on the horizon either.Yeah, she's really cute.

You could try placing it right in the middle of your dinner table. It would make for an interesting conversation when you invite friends/family over to visit. No arguments there.
