We dont know what he means, no need to get offensive. I would really like to know what he means. Is there a lot of unnecessary violence in the game maybe? I dont know enough about the game

Well the main character is in an infamous outlaw gang or whatever, it's very likely he has killed or hurt people, and even if not you obviously will during the course of the game.

Gotta try my best to finish the Spiderman DLC tonight because if I remove that Spidey disc and pop in Red Dead tonight to install, odds are that Red Dead will be commandeering my PS4 for the next 3 months.

I don't expect everyone to share my distaste for games like RDR2, but I'm not going to refrain from sharing my opinions. That shouldn't bother you.
If you mean games in which the main gameplay element is shooting people, those aren't my favorite parts of those games either.
I love GTA, RDR and really enjoyed TLoU, but the shooting gameplay is rather boring to me and I don't particularly like those.
That said, I just look past it because I love either the world and/or story. I couldn't get past Uncharted 1 because of the shooting gameplay either, but some of my favorite games from last gen have shooting mechanics that I don't particularly care for (an other one that comes to mind is the Mass Effect trilogy) but I just love the rest of the game so much that I just go through it anyway. Combat is usually my least favorite part of videogames except in some turn based JRPGs. Waves of enemies to shoot (like in Uncharted) always feels extremely fake to me (even though for some reason it doesn't bother me in a game like Persona for example).

Not sure if that's what you mean.

In the end it doesn't really matter that much. You clearly know which type of games you like and which you don't like. Just play the games you like (I don't mind you discussing this btw). What does it matter which games get chosen as GOTY. You know for yourself what types of games you like and I am sure you have plenty to play as well.

If you mean how violent some of them can get. Sure, I personally don't mind that at all, but I can see how that can turn people away. But there are plenty non-violent videogames for you to play instead. I still don't really understand why it bothers you which games get GOTY or game awards prices.

Games that come to mind for me with glorified murderers as main characters:
Uncharted, TLoU, Tomb Raider reboot + sequels. For some reason GTA or RDR doesn't feel like that to me (even though it's the same kind of combat). That said, it's not something that bothers me. It's not realistic, but what can you do.

I've got my copy of RDR2 early, got home at 8 pm and it's still installing. And that's without the patch. Fuuuuuck me.

Thankfully, the patch isn't gigantic from what I saw. Think it was 3 GB or something, unless another one has gone up since the review copies.

RE: Red Dead Redemption 2, if anyone has any questions about different particulars of the game, Jones has been on Twitter answering a bunch of questions the past few hours.

I get what Huber's saying tbh. When I see a patch downloaded for a game I haven't played for a while it makes me want to boot it back up.

Just to close the EZA and sensitive topics thing: they have a very clever (Bosman), open-minded (Brandon) and moderate approach on the podcast, stating exactly on which side they are but without radicalizing the conversation. Kyle is great at this and Brandon is simply an excellent human being (still remember the whole editorial about the guy joking about killing Sophie). If people don't feel attacked they're also more inclined to hear you out and change their mindset, especially by bringing the whole argument on more videogamey terms. If you're battling a "monster" you always have to keep your distance from it, if you rashly go at war, you won't win, because nobody wins when there's a war, only suffering ensues.

EDIT: I feel sorry for Ben's BLOPS review, it's great but hit the channel two hours before what's arguably the most awaited review of the year. Good job anyway!

Despite all of that, the youtube section for that video is already filled with garbage people. It is only going to get worse...

Trash is going to be trash.

I don't think Huber was right about day one patches only being about 1 or 2 gigs either. Wasn't BLOPS4 like a 50 gb patch?

User Banned (Permanent): History of trolling EZA threads. Ignoring previous warnings and bans.
Why is it that the EZA podcast still has the same viewing numbers it had 2 years ago. They should really start incorporating tactics that'll actually grow their viewership.

Don't humor this troll/alt account
You're right, sorry. It's just the last time he was here I didn't remember him having beef with any of the Allies, but instead just trolling about giving money. I was curious who he would say.

EDIT: Nevermind, I see his post history. He's gone now anyway, I'll leave it at that.

Wasn't he the guy who was going to buy them a studio all by himself?

Anyways, I don't know how, or why they would want to, people stream games for the very first time. Watching Kyle go through the Spider-Man DLC is infuriating. The amount of people in chat constantly looking to spoil things or give a little nudge nudge wink wink I know what's coming and you don't type of comment. Unless they explicitly ask, why not just shut the fuck up and let them play and talk about what they're currently doing rather than what they will be doing soon.

This is probably something that only annoys me, but still...

Nah, it annoys me too, but I just hide chat on almost all streams.

I don't watch too many stream, but I do sometimes watch archives of streams from EZA and other streamers/youtubers and I have seen some of those other streamers mention this as well during the stream/archive. Explicitly asking not to spoil anything unless they ask for it themselves. I obviously couldn't see chat as I usually check those on youtube, but It must be hard to play something for the first time on stream while also wanting to engage with chat, but also wanting to dodge the spoilers.

I guess it depends on what type of game they are playing. If it's a city builder or something like that, chat can be helpful with stuff the streamer just forgot to do or missed, but for story driven games I can imagine it becoming very annoying. Especially if they try to push the streamer to secrets or hidden collectibles.

Heh noticed they deleted the previous upload of the first Box Peek episode. I wonder if today's episode gonna be exactly the same.

Some streams are better than others. Suikoden was pretty bad on the front for Ben. But they've been good about it regarding Eternal Darkness

Also I could see this being a thing for Kyle streams more as he uses chat like Siri and is his own interactive game guide

And there a number of people that are good at proving hints w/o telling them the exact solution

Kyle said he was going to do that when the trailer went up. I think he said he might have done something with the colour because he thought it looked drab? Could be wrong though and he just meant from episode 2 onwards.
