Sooo I'm enjoying my new job but between a German Fighter Jet Crashing on the 101

...and just a rash of accidents its been taking me almost 2 hours to get home every day this week. Hopefully next week will be better but I am considering moving within the next year, at least once I'm not in danger of getting reamed with taxes since we've owned our place for less than 3 years.

My question is where are there some decent asian enclaves close to Thousand Oaks and Ventura County? The houses and schools in the Simi Valley are definitely attractive but its looking like the closest asian supermarket and restaurants are in Van Yuys?

I'm still puzzled why somebody painted an old T-6 like a German aircraft. They're popular old warbirds, especially in SoCal, but most people paint them to look like what they did at some point during their active career, not like the fucking Luftwaffe of all things.

Also, there's no decent Chinese outside the SGV. It's a fool's errand.

Shanghai Bistro, China Garden, and Sichuan Impression are all pretty decent in the Woodland/Calabasas area.

Try the Asian buffet on Victory and Canoga right by the Topanga mall. Across the street from Best buy, right next to Paninis. Pretty good.

Droidian's suggestion is also quite good from what I recall.

That place is pretty good, I've only had it once in the past year. There's a lot of good Pho on that same block and Thai food just down the street from there as well.

Not Asian but all the Asian dudes I was in college with always knew where the best food was at. Didn't matter where they were from either. It was like they came to the states with a list of where to eat and where not to go.

If the taste in games of those on this site is any indicator, you shouldn't ask them for their opinions on food.
