Interesting to hear him say that they don't have nothing to announce about buying studios at the moment.

Someone wasted a question with the tired "how to get into games industry" question.
Meanwhile real important matters like when we getting a PS characters kart racer remained unclear. SMH.
Being an in-company interview, the questions are clearly filtered already - Shawn knows what the questions are he wants to openly give a response to and came in with prepared answers.
Shawn wanted to be asked about RPG studio acquisitions.
That's good enough for me at least.Well, maybe not necessarily JRPG studio acquisition since its still a public question made by an actual person - but he clearly wanted to float it out there that there's a chance for Japanese projects that is more in the RPG vein.
Do it.Imma make Huber wish Playstation Allstars Grand Prix into frution somehow.
noooo Mat left?? :/Side note: Can I just say fuck you to the console warriors who harassed Mat Piscatella off of Era? You should've been perma-banned.
Well it's a startAt least Sony have to be aware at this point that fans want them to fund a JRPG. Whether they acquire a studio in the process of doing that isn't necessarily important.
Other Ocean Interactive is the developer
He specified it's a remake not a remaster.
Things like that : https://otherocean.com/games/
I don't know about their reputation as a whole but considering they weren't even able to port Ultra Street Fighter IV decently on PS4, I'm going to temper my expectations for now.
If memory serves the theory was that it was being rushed to be the version used at Evo in July 2015, but it ended up having so many problems that ironically the Xbox 360 version was used instead. So USF4 PS4 was rushed because PS4 lacked fighting games at the time?
Yep and I mean that's GREAT NEWS bojackSo what was said about medievil? New trailer incoming and that its just remake of the first game?
Yeah but is it a Shadow of the Colossus - style remake or a RE2 - style remake?
Why people want Sony to buy studios? Most of the games are coming to PS anyway.

It's not bad ofc. And it's a smart think to do actuallyWhy some people don't want Sony to buy studios? Is it that bad?
Sony has a history of buying studios who have made successful exclusives that have helped define and evolve their brand of gaming and can be considered a real partner. They also build their own studios. That is respectful and it's why an Insomniac, Ready At Dawn or Bluepoint Games acquisition would make 100% sense and not even be questioned. It's not bad ofc. I just don't like the idea of buying a multiplatform dev and turning them into the exclusive one

Microsoft just buying studios that they've never really had any kind of partnership or prior rapport with and now those games are never going to come out on anything other than their platform, is just... nasty way of doing business in my view, and a really inorganic way to go about it.

Yeah but I kinda hoped for the second game as well.
Unlike Crash Bandicoot and Spyro, Medievil will be exclusive right? So Sony didn't give up its IP? If so why don't they start a reboot or make sequels then?
Looking forward to watch the trailer on halloween. I hope the graphics will be better than Crash Bandicoot and Spyro which alreayd look great.
