Bathroom sinks are annoying. It would be nice if some were placed higher so I didn't have to lean down every time. I'm only moderately tall too at 183cm.

Went on a cruise and the rooms are laughably compact even someone short like me. Can't imagine tall people keeping strong backs in the long run.

Being tall myself, I have no choice but to be aware of how much of the world is not made for tall people.

Get into a car? I'm going to bump my head sitting down to get in.

Taking a shower in a hotel? The shower head is at chest level.

Looking for new shoes? No stores carry size 14s.

Well how tall? Based on your post I'm assuming 6 8.

You know people are growing tall nowadays due to better nutrition. I wouldn't be surprised if 6 3 becomes average in 30 years for males.
Meh, height in the US has actually stalled for a long time now, and it's nowhere near that, more like 5'9 for men.
And I'm no giant but living in Mexico being over 6 ft is painful. So much stuff is built with a 1.8 limit. Have fun having your head cut off from entering or leaving a bathroom stall.

I'm 6'1 and live in Mexico. I'm "very tall" and yeah, guys like it. I prefer short guys, trying to court a 5'4 guy <3.
It's cool when I want something on the top of the shelve, sucks when using public transportation.

Being tall sucks. You get people telling you to buy expensive plane tickets to avoid crippling leg pain instead of them not being able to recline their seats 0.5 degrees on an airplane.

I'm 6' 5". I wear a size 16 in men's shoes. It's trash. I remember when Icecreams came out. I'm a huge Pharrell stan. Of course it only went to like 12's smh. I hate buying clothes.

And no. I can't dunk.

My height wasn't some magical ticket to date whoever. I'm sure it's helped but I wasn't even aware that girls liked tall guys exclusively until I started doing online dating.

Back in junior high, high school, or whatever, it was all about the pretty medium sized guys with six pack abs. In college, seemed like ultra thin hipster types would do really well.

I didn't do well dating as a 6'3" overweight dude until after college when girls were more accepting of dad bods.

Honestly, I think it's harder to be a tall person than any other group on Earth

I feel your pain but I personally like the benefits more than the downsides. I feel more respected/adored/feared due to my height which is useful more often than not. The only real downsides is having to bend slightly more when going through doors and certain halls. The only true shit part is having to look down when holding a convo with people who are extremely short. It's impossible for it not to be akward unless you knew them beforehand.

Side note: I randomly hit my head hard walking up the stairs against the ceiling the other day despite living in my house my whole life.

I am 6'4 and have a long torso so most Cara if I'm not in the front seat I have to tilt my head to the side it sucks for long rides. Then again I drive a Hyundai Elantra which I fit in okay enough wish I had looked at other cars before buying though.

Planes are the only thing that truly sucks, and maybe small beds on other countries when travelling

I had to watch my head a lot when I was in Japan tho, lol

I'm 6'2" and wear a size 13. Both right on the cusp of it being annoying being my size, but I generally fit everywhere and can find shoes (14s are difficult to find).

Planes... ugh.. the f'n planes. I wear sandals so i can tale them off while on a plane cuz that extra inch of space really does matter.

Also... screw any short person taking up the emergency row with more leg space. You fit comfortably in the regular rows, leave it for the tall or people who really need it.

Im 6' 8"

Oh yeah... you know what else really grinds my gears? Big AND Tall sizes. I only need the tall part, not the big part. Finding clothes that fits right is very hard. Im an XL chest wise and just need extra length. XL-Tall to be specific, but good luck finding this size.

I'm 5'9, which is tall for a woman. Had my husband pick up some pants for me the other day and they were high eaters because he didn't get the tall version.

Being a tall woman doesn't come with the social perks of being a tall man either.

I'm 6'1 and feel short some days. People are freakishly tall now, or at least this generation of kids are.

6'2 and I wear 15.

It's annoying to say the least. On the good side, the ladies seems to like tall people. So, I can live with that trade off :P

Being tall can also be an inconvenience in the gym.

6' 8" with 6' 11" wingspan

Bench press with long arms means you gotta remember not to let the bar go down to your chest. For normal people, this is fine. For tall people, it's not. Your upper arm will go way beyond perpendicular to the bar that it puts hella weight on your shoulders just to lift the bar up again before your chest can take over.

Squats are harder since you have a longer travel.

Deadlifts are too since you have to bend ao far just to get the bar.

Bicep curls seem tougher since the weight is further away from the pivot point (think of using a long wrench to losen a nut vs a shorter wrench)

I wear a size 13 wide, and it might as well be size 16 for how rare it is. I basically gave up shopping at normal shoe stores. It's outlet stores or online only for me.
But I'm only 6'1", so don't really fall into that "too big to fit into normal spaces" range. Except for airplane seats, those still suck.

Tall and male? Boo-fucking-hoo, you gain so much privilege just for existing. The small physical problems you face just don't compare to the lifelong ridicule of being a short guy.

There was a tall man from Boston
Who drove around in an Austin
There was room for his ass
And a gallon of gas
But his balls hung out and he lost 'em

It really isn't mostly a good thing, the grass isn't greener on the other side for both. There's more health downsides to being tall than there are social downsides to being short.
I'd trade those few extra miserable years of life I've been "gifted" for only 70 or so happier years any day of the week.

I am 6'10, 240lbs. Wear size 18 and I've never met a person taller than me my entire life. My dad is 6'3
My brother is 6'4 as well.

I've been made fun of my entire life and people always size me up and have no shame about it. They stare at me trying to figure out how tall I am. I need to wear a sign saying 6'10.

In fact I have OCD to immediately compare heights of tall men and hope to one day meet someone taller and look up for once.

I shop at big and tall stores and the fashion is crap and no pants are ever long enough. Sometimes I get lucky.

And as someone said... the only consolation is huge dong.
