woah, that's surprising. Patrick is great, loved him back in the day in movies like Wristcutters, Bickford Shmeckler's and Almost Famous. I'm used to see him in quirky indie movies so imagining him on the TLoU world is pretty wild, can't wait to see his performance in the game.
it's low-cost to develop though (VR teams are really small, Farpoint had a team of 15 for example), so I imagine it doesn't bleed them a lot of money as well
I can't wait for Concrete Genie to get a date, as well as more gameplay for the other PS4 games.

I think even R* would like to forget that they won GOTY in that trainwreck of an award show. It was VGX for those who can't remember. The new Game Awards are the one's that are doing it right for the most part but Sony has not won a single one so far:
2014: Inquisition
2015: Witcher 3 (Bloodborne Nom)
2016: Overwatch (Uncharted 4 Nom)
2017: BOTW (Horizon Nom)
I feel like GOW still has a shot, but if RDR 2 Online knocks it out of the park then it has no chance.
It would be hard for RDR2 to top GoW for me, and I'm hyped as fuck for RDR2. I say this because these days I prefer finely tuned and crafted, somewhat linear single player games. Open world games just don't do it for, even BOTW for example I enjoyed (immensely) but it still wasn't my GOTY that year nor did I prefer it over the older Zelda style.
God of War, being a more linear game is more finely tuned and even if its not as big as RDR2 what is there is of the highest quality.

Um first off Uncharted 4 won more GOTY awards in 2016 than any other game. It was the consensus GOTY that year. Also don't be so sure that God of War won't be this year just because RDR2 has a MC 2 points higher than it. GTA5 did over TLOU as well and TLOU beat it out by almost 100 awards.
That could absolutely be the case. I think the only difference is that GTAV didn't have a story that was engaging or resonated with people. By all accounts RDR2 does, and I think that will make a difference when it's time to vote on GOTY.
I agree that it will be closer between these two than the last Sony and Rockstar title. I just think people writing GOW off are forgetting how much outlets loved it. Some outlets gave it a higher score than RDR2, some gave RDR2 a higher score, and some gave them the same score. It will be interesting to see it play out in a couple months.
I agree. I don't think RDR2 is going to just sweep all the GOTY awards. GOW will win some.
