No free camera movement? Damn that's disappointing.

is it confirmed that digital preorders can play at 11pm est tonight?
is it a real slow burn right away like they all state? and if so, did that 'bother' you?So I've just quit 10 hours in, I'll return tomorrow.
Another cool take away: no freezes, no crashes, no glitches at all, no weird animations, steady frame rate, Native 4K on X, great HDR implementation - out the box everything just works. I realise that shouldn't get praise in itself, but given the sheer size of the game and number of gaming systems it deploys, that's a huge achievement. This game had serious QA.
I agree but R* dedication to realism/immersion knows no bounds.
For me, it means deliberate and a sense of physicality. Like I imagine a lot of people hate the boy's movement in The Last Guardian. I love it. It felt like you're controlling this lanky little kid exploring the ruins, just barely able to survive in that place. It felt right that this kid doesn't move with pixel perfect responsiveness, that he was loose and gangly, tripped and stumbled when he ran
Xbox One X 1080p super sampling
It looks absolutely incredible, in motion even 3 times better.
For real..?2 hour install time on PS4 wtf. Was hoping to get some playing time in before bed/work. You know what? Fuck it, getting it digital. I have some PSN credit I can use.

Has anyone tried playing with no minimap and no compass, and only using NPC directions, landmarks, signposts, and building signs to navigate?
Sounds fantasticIt's a very slow burn. The opening 'tutorial' Section goes on for hours, and there's only one big action set piece really. Once you get into the full open world the first bunch of missions are good variety and pretty laid back.
None of this bothered me. It is relaxed and confident as a game. It's very clear Rockstar want to set a tone, that the world and struggle is more important than bombast.

Lmaoooo this gif is perfect
Yep that's me :)Man think of the poor folks like me who aren't able to play until after work TOMORROW.
The horror
Plays fine in the more open environments. Frames start to drop to on average 25fps in dense towns. However, all of the consoles save for the X seem to have an issue with some frame drops in the towns.
I'd say the biggest draw back with the OG Xbone is the resolution. Shit is blurry.
The game actually releases at 9 pm at Best Buy!

thanks very much.
everything im reading from people and DF is that the PS4 Pro runs the game horribly :(
Yes, this is important too. RDR had a lot of great non-action beats and missions but it also just threw shootouts at you. So many of them just felt like filler because well, it's an action game and you need to have shootouts.Exactly what I was hoping for. The less completely dependent on shootouts the game is over its entire running period, the better.

It doesn't, it just looks that way when compared to the XBX version.everything im reading from people and DF is that the PS4 Pro runs the game horribly :(
