You can host friend only lobbies so it's certainly possible, nothing has been arranged yet. AnythingBut has an open lobby running most nights.

Yea, pretty much if I'm on gts I've a lobby open, tho with my twitch channel really starting to take off... near 3k followers and 130+ viewers a night... it tends to fill quite fast.
I do the occasional friends only lobby too so just throw me a friend request (stick a msg in) and I'll add you. :)

To be fair , i did some dirt shit too tonight but some guys don't look at their mirrors at all , it's like racing against AI . You have to divebomb all the time to overtake .

Hmm it's bloody irritating when people turn into you but some people come from so far back so quickly that they take you by surprise (and I don't know if this guy would've made it through the chicane without me to slow him down. It doesn't help when the Citroen I'm driving simply doesn't stop as quick as some of the other cars - I have to brake slightly earlier which can encourage divebombs as they might simply be trying to avoid me. Anyway, this is what happened to me tonight in the FIA manufacturers race when I was put in a lobby with 15 DR A drivers. I was so hacked off I turned it off and didn't do the Nation's race which is a first for me.

That is a dick move , you can't overtake there at all . No doubt .

First try at a ResetEra design. It's not too fancy, but I'll try to make some more complex ones on different cars.

He's a fucking moron. Do you want to know why he's a fucking moron? If he had set himself up to have a run on you down that little straight to the next hairpin corner then he would have been able to overtake you cleanly down the inside.

I'm starting to get really hacked off with the beetle drivers in this game. They have no idea how to set themselves up to overtake cleanly. They just divebomb down the inside at every little opportunity they get, regardless of whether it is safe to do so or not.

I had my first major incident of rage in this game with a beetle driver the other day at interlagos in an SR S race. I'm in 3rd place, cruising along, lap 8/10, 2nd and first place are in my sights. The beetle driver is over a second behind me. He literally tries to use me to brakes AND a turn barrier going through the last corner, took both of us out. Bang, we are down to 8th and 9th respectively. I was so incensed with rage that I just punted him the fuck off the track on turn one. I didn't even brake, I had no intention of doing so, I just continued accelerating and then rammed him the fuck off. I then did it again on the next corner with the huge run off to ensure he was pushed down to last place, then I quit the game with a 20s penatly. I got demoted to SR B but damn, it felt satisfying. You *nationality deleted* fuck.

Yeah that Beetle was a jackass, as evidenced by them flashing their lights repeatedly at you and then (probably) purposely spinning you out. My FIA Suzuka race was a mess too. Just mayhem. That track is dicey enough with Gr.3 cars without people acting like idiots. As an aside, I really wish there were more Gr.4 races in FIA than Gr.3.

Actually though I was more upset by the Interlagos daily race I just ran. I was doing pretty well, had moved up from 12th to 8th and on the start of the final lap a Viper intentionally rear-ended me into that cement area at the first turn. Not only did I get dropped to 18th, I got a 10 sec penalty. I really really hope shit like this is punished effectively (and not punishing the wrong people) by the new update.

My way of dealing with light flashers is to get off the racing line slow down a bit so you are still in front but side by side then creep across so they are pinned on the highest line, then intentionally take the apex wide but with enough space for a car. Someone with decent etiquette will fall behind then try again later, a good racer will just beat you anyway but an aggressive driver will take themselves out every time by trying to overtake on the outside and overshooting the corner.

I'm down for a GT ERA league too but starting with a multiclass race is not ideal in my opinion. Let's get comfortable, racing with as little accidents as possible and then we can start to aim higher.

Had my first race at Blue Moon Speedway... Who thought it was a good idea to have aircraft flying overhead constantly? All I could hear was the jet engines, so annoying having it come from all directions on my surround sound. Reminds me of this, on loop for 10 mins.

That dude is divebombing hard but on the bright side it looks like the SR system recognized it as such. Although at 10 laps 2 infractions is probably not enough for red SR.

I pretty much feel that way about all the aircraft on every stage. The helicopters, the jumbo jet, and the Blue Angels jets. The passenger jet is especially loud, and I find the helicopter really distracting visually. Get rid of 'em all.

Just got a T300 for this game and its pretty damn nice.

However, anyone using it notice that PS3 mode is better than PS4 mode for some reason?

I must admit I like when the helicopters buzz past, it sounds really great, and the audio mixing has come a long way since GT6. It is as if Polyphony have this new audio tech and just want to show it off, less is more, wouldn't mind it so much if these ambient sounds / events were far more infrequent rather than every lap.

The servers are back up also. The Shelby Cobra is 2 million, ouch!

Let the bitching commence.

"There's no content, there's no progression"

Ok here's some more content for free and you have to progress to get it.

"Fuck you PD"

Sometimes I think certain people get what they deserve with this new trend of lootboxes and P2W microtransactions.

Hope that wasn't directed at me. I wasn't complaining, I just only have 900k right now. It's going to take me a little bit to get that sweet ride.

BoP has been updated for many cars. The Beetle didn't get nerfed at all though... http://www.gran-turismo.com/us/gtsport/news/00_5078444.html

Did the last Mount Panorama race before the daily change. Didn't see any changes to the rating system. Got hit from behind and spun out 2 times and also got a red SR. Need more races to have a better idea on the improvements but not a good first impression.

Okay, I did my first race after the update (Maggiore Gr.4 daily...did Cloudy conditions on that track always have light fog? because it was spooky). Some things are changed which I don't think were in the patch notes:

- Chat interface is revised, there's a whole screen of quick reply messages to choose from. Of course people are just spamming them.
- The cars started from a standing start before even showing any autopilot signs, it was a bit disconcerting. I don't think Maggiore was this way before?
- There are now warnings at the top of the screen when flags are out. I saw "NO PASSING" several times, which I guess means there are now penalties for misbehaving during flag conditions.
- The end of the race no longer shows 1st place. I placed 10th and it showed a shot of me celebrating in the pit.
- Steering felt a bit less oversensitive on DS4, but maybe that's just placebo effect.

edit: I just got booted from the match while waiting for the next race to start with a "disconnected from the network" message. Never had that happen before. I had 4 bars on the signal indicator, wtf.

Some really nice improvements, shame they added nothing to lobbies apparently.

Last night I raced on Bathurst (just to show off the Nismo :P). Qualified 3rd, passed a Beetle on the straight after turn 1 (I was scared as fuck it would bump me out, he didn't - faith in humanity restored), but I couldn't catch the guy in front with a Viper. Finished 2nd, but a 911 in third position got really close to me, another 2 laps and he would have probably got me.
Awesome race, the mountain is scary as fuck but I never made an error in ten laps. As an emotional person, Sport mode is as fun as stressful lol.

Bathurst is the fucking shit . It's not good for online races , crashes everywhere . Monaco would be terrible too if it was in the game .

Can't understand why none of my friends times show up when I'm on the loaading screens for challenges/missions/whatever they're called when you learn the tracks in Single Player.(This was even before today's patch reset the times)

BLASPHEMY!

The only safe places to pass are coming down Conrod straight, pit straight and the straight after the first corner/early ascent. Any where else and you need patience.

Any tips on how to be more aware of your surroundings when driving in cockpit mode? Often times you can't see the mirrors because of the limited view.
