It's already backwards compatible on Xbox One.
Hope never dies.
Great news
Everyone should play awake
Yes, the publisher rights reverted from microsoft back to microsoft which in turn paid the licensing deals just to put the game on PSN
What's with port begging always being allowed when something is just on xbox regarding consoles?
What gets me about this is they say "platforms", plural. They have an upcoming TV show, so what better way to gain a larger following but by releasing Alan Wake on PSN and the eshop as well? Perhaps the publishing rights reverted back from Microsoft to themselves and they can do it now?
Please read my follow up. I stated that I have already beaten the game twice since it went BC on X1. I was saying perhaps the publishing rights reverted from Microsoft back to Remedy for them to publish the game across multiple consoles. I bought the Special Edition of the game on 360, the DLC, and American Nightmare the day they all released. I've beaten the game 5 times. I don't even own a PS4. I was just asking a question, as they used a plural in their wording. Don't make this into a console war thing, because it's far from that.
"Platforms" meaning multiple digital stores on PC like GOG. We dont know the exact times when the game appears on those (its up on GOG), but should be soon.
and you, please read the thread
platforms mean gog, steam and xbox. microsoft renegotiated the licensing deals so they could sell the game again with all the music intact and remedy thanked them, so they're obviously still the publisher. this has nothing to do with putting the game on eshop or PSN
oh then they probably meant gog or something
Here's the ending for American Nightmare (spoilers, obviously). Why do people say this in regards to this series?
What is left unresolved? American Nightmare ends with Alan going home and kissing his wife. The town wrapped everything up in the main game and the DLCs. What mysteries are left?
Lol, I guess I forgot that post credits scene was even a thing. Oh well. Here's the ending for American Nightmare (spoilers, obviously).
The narrator says that the scene with his wife may be an illusion or a vision of the future. Then the post-credits scene has Barry hear Alan's voice in the TV static, implying that Alan is still in the Dark Place.
Chances for a X patch has just increased from o to 90 percent.

Yesss. I've been waiting for this a long time. It would look glorious
The sequel is going to be the TV show that's in the works. They said that season 1 of the show will cover the original game and what they had for the story of 2.
American Nightmare was never delisted. Just the original game.
That's a separate game and was never taken off sale, it's also on sale right now too and dirt cheap as usual.
