If they faked it, it's the most elaborate hoax ever put out for a Smash leak .
They probably wouldn't show up until DLC since their game is too new.
Rex & Pyra are all but guaranteed as DLC though.
This. If you think this is fake, that's fine, but don't act like people who believe are out of their mind.
Given the timing (when Smash Ultimate started and how far Xenoblade 2 was in development), your best bet would be DLC.
Because by coming outright and saying "no, here's definitive proof it's fake", people compromises their sources and friends. Ryce made a post about the personal angle of this.
It also allows plausible deniability as some might not be so sure they're looking down the full roster. For all they know, Smash really does have more characters than the ones they know.
That said, there are some people here who have been more outspoken in terms of "nah, that ain't it", which says more about how this info should be taken imo. Some people are playing it safer than others, some less so.
Really makes you wonder what the big juicy hook team insiders have, obviously they can't indulge us and I get that, but it's fascinating at this point that whatever it is holds back the mighty tide of team real's hodgepodge of messy but interesting evidence.

The worst part is, whenever this is over, whether it turned out real or fake, the winning side will be like: "it was so obvious all along, omg you're all crazy, jesus how did you not see the obvious" lol
