What if all this is just a big marketing stunt for The Grinch.

The castle is there just next to Zelda's arm in the pic with the new characters in the leak, but wasn't there also a blank background that removed the castle and some waterfalls?

It's possible the material from this leak, if real, isn't complete. Afterall the current Smash renders are being used for PR material as well and they're going to be out of date once the game itself is released.
It's also possible they're being fed wrong information on purpose to throw them off. Even Vergeben has stated this about his "Square-Enix rep" leak. He even had doubts about Incineroar before he double down on him
I would reckon you'd be one to enjoy this shot in the arm the smash hype has been given.
Nah, but they probably made a deal to bring Rare games in the future N64 Mini and/or the Banjo HD remasters on Switch (the XBLA ones). Which would be huge anyway.

It really reminds me of the Smash 4 insanity during the ESRB leak. I'm hoping it has the same ending, too.
The way some insiders are saying "some of this seems right, but it's also wrong in places" makes me think they know it's missing Incineroar, but also that Ken is in, and maybe Geno? It seems like at least some of the characters in the leak are definitely in the game.
