This legit looks like the three-tiered marketing panel that is above and behind most Gamestop registers.
I literally just said that Bamco is not handling marketing. A firm that has worked with them in the past has. And we've received confirmation as of this morning that this firm is handling some Smash Ultimate stuff.
I'm still really hopeful for a DQ DLC add. Would make a lot of sense. Paid DLC should cover licensing costs. Would still be a huge draw people would pay for (like Ryu and Cloud) and people who hate Sugiyama could pass.

I was an ASM for nearly a decade and these look exactly like the marketing panels that they used for the latter half of my time there. They separate so you can slide in each panel on the sides and always came in three pieces. If you happen to shop there, it would be behind the register up top, usually.
Mods can't shut it down, even if they believe it's fake. There's nothing to disprove the actual leak itself, and everything that does prove it

On purpose. Just like everybody else. Including Square-enix, owners of the franchise. I'm not sure if they even know they own the lizard.
But this is Era, some of the Admins know tons of insider stuff and I would think at least one knows the final roster.
My opinion is that it may have some truth to it, but I don't believe the entire thing to be accurate. Seems like a wish list & could have used that 4chan rumor as a guideline.
If this leak ends up being real, for me it would truly be a Good Ending. Which would be lovely considering how the Bad Ending, box leak, has terrorized us for so long.
Let's face it, you'd pretty much have to leave the internet if you don't want to know. People blab about it everywhere.
The best explanation for the banner not having some characters insiders know about is that that particular banner is not supposed to show all characters, just all those that will be revealed before release, like Duck Hunt trailer not being oficially revealed until a month and a half after the 3ds smash release even when everyone knew it was in because.. you know.. people bought smash 3ds
I don't doubt that, but it'd make them look bad if they shut it down just based off their sources
the one thing i'm not sure of on this leak is what the timetable would be for that print job. my gut says 2-3 weeks till they would be needed but nailing down logistics without many details is tough. If we have a smash direct on Nov 1st or 8th that would make sense. any "insiders" got a scoop on a direct date that might add some more light to this?
The leak seems convincing but those "in the know", while presenting slightly different stories, have all expressed, more or less, that this isn't an accurate depiction of the full roster.

If this is real I'll be shocked but man if it's fake, the amount of detail and breadcrumbs they lined up is amazing, from the peekaboo of their name where they seem to have "tried" to hide it, the LinkedIn page, the fact it's on something specific like a promotional wristband. It's impressive.
I think everyone just needs to hype responsibly. But I don't see many people talking about how exactly they're going to reveal all of these characters, especially when Isaac, Geno, and Banjo are all big crowdpleasers and all will want their "moment" in a Direct, as well as likely individual trailers. With a monthish until release I only see them doing one more Direct for Smash and would probably bookend two reveals like the August Direct, with echoes in between.
I just don't think it's realistic. Unless they did a big multi-reveal like Brawl's announcement trailer, but we don't get those anymore - every character gets their own individual showstopping trailer or CGI animation so I don't see them doing that for all 5 or whatever of these newcomers, or on the flipside, giving them half arsed reveals one after another either.
I want to believe it's real but leaving towards fake. Also I'm a bitter Dixie stan and it'll be a hate crime of she's cut TWICE. It ain't right :(
