Ultimately, it is up to the administrators to decide. I believe that restrictions on hype threads and promotional topics might be warranted, but banning all CDPR game discussion here will most likely neither materially pressure the offending company (sales of upcoming games with massive marketing do not depend on the state of forum discussion) nor will it measurably help defend the civil rights of trans people in the U.S. who are being targeted by Trump and the bigots responsible for the underlying memo such as Roger Severino (quite a disgusting human being, that one, who believes both sexuality and sexual orientation are defined by "character", strongly opposed same sex marriage and has even defended fraudulent "therapy" to "cure" LGBTQ folks).
It is a purely symbolic move meant as a display of solidarity with the affected party, which is entirely fair, but one whose actual effectiveness as a tactic can be debated. Disagreeing about that does not mean one supports CDPR's shameful behavior.
Game journalists pressuring the company to answer in detail and question their issuing a non-apology, using legit twitter accounts to air public criticism of incompetent social media management, boycotting CDPR games, closing accounts or refusing to use GOG in the future, plus actually supporting and funding pro-trans entities or LGBTQ organizations and any additional comparable moves remain as other viable alternatives for expressing solidarity (not to mention voting, in the case of eligible U.S. voters).
