Best combo for a big breakfast after the gym is 2 Apples and Cinnamon oatmeal with 1 Maple and Brown Sugar, with some Butter Rich Ms. Butterworth's syrup.

Mayo makes scrambled eggs fantastic, gives it an awesome texture. Just add a little right before they're done cooking and mix it in.

A little sriracha on top when it's finished and they're perfect.

Maple syrup (even the fake stuff) and scrambled eggs is a great combination. I don't know anyone else IRL who does it and I don't recall where I picked up on it--might've just been a natural extension of syrup on breakfast sausage and bacon, which is more common in my experience. (I wanna say the egg part it's a Southern thing, but I'm not from the South so who knows.) It's not something I do every time I have scrambled eggs but it's pretty damn good.

I haven't had oatmeal in years but the OP makes the idea sound somewhat tempting.

This thread is giving me ideas.

You can get golden syrup oatmeal so I guess it's more normal then some think

I used to mix syrup into my oatmeal and into my grits back in basic training. I can confirm it's good. Also, spiced apples taste good mixed in there as well. It helped to get through chow quickly if as much stuff that tasted good together could be combined for speed.

Think its good with oatmeal? Try maple syrup as a sweetener for coffee. Maple coffee in and of itself is a majorly popular thing. Seriously try it sometime. Makes it smooth and tastes amazing. It comes across subtle without goin overpowering or saturating the flavor. Just blends smoothly. Their are versions of Highlander Grogg (which is one of the most popular roasts among enthusiasts period) where they roast the beans in maple syrup that way they can do a very dark roast but totally alleviate the acid and bitterness that usually comes with such roasts. The maple just smooths it over and adds a great flavor to the beans.

Maple Coffee. You're welcome.

I will be trying this this weekend.

Glad to hear it! Report back sometime. Always glad to give folks coffee info here. I got my own iced coffee bar in my house and keep several dozen bags of specialty roasts and a few dozen syrups on hand at all times.
You'd be surprised what all I've made. Be even more suprised to hear how some rare stuff like Thai Pandan syrups can add a pastry like flavor to coffee too. Few drops of that green stuff to any espresso and its set.

Idk how anyone eats oatmeal regardless of what you mix into it. Shit tastes like paste.

Overnight oats I can get down with but I don't think it's particularly good for you with most recipes I've seen
