I notice he tried to protect his head when falling off that cliff. Too bad he still cracked his head open like an egg and died.

Gunfights and close combat look not particulary good to be honest but the rest still looks interesting

And so far, it looks surprisingly close to the old game(s) (game mechanics, how everything works, how the missions are, shooting and more) instead of really making a next generation step forward like Naughty Dog. It looks like a 2018 title but feels like a 2009/2012 one, if you know what I mean with this.

Don't know how much I like that.
It's missing the God of War moment in games from today that gives you something that feels as polished as a freaking diamond.

I don't really get what you're saying. What was Naughty Dog's big generational leap forward? Uncharted 4 didn't really strike me it was doing anything revolutionary over the past Uncharted's. It was the same old but wrapped around a better looking game. Linear games by virtue of what they are will always look better and more polished than big open world games.

Open world games are much more being about a of a sum of their many parts. RDR2 looks incredible from what I've seen so far. Its a Red Dead game so of course it has to hit certain beats and be familiar enough. I'll wait until I've played it all the way through before I pass judgement. Maybe Rockstar will be accused in the end of being too conservative with it and not taking enough risks. We'll see.

Any leaks to see some real violence? Like how badly people can get hurt from guns? Decapitation or anything?

I keep wondering about this too. I love been watching the combat streams trying to get a sense of exactly how much limb decapitation/proper blood splatter on walls, stuff like that the game contains, as that stuff is a big deal for me (I want more of it!), but it's been tough to get a clear impression as the streams are low quality and the players don't really seem to care about it.

Curious about this as well. Wonder if its Soldier of Fortune levels where you can go up to a corpse and start picking off limbs.

Definitely a troll. They were drooling over the first 24 second clip. But now I guess the game will be a major dissapointment

First clip did not demonstrate the failings of the 2nd clip perhaps? Just saying.

You guys arent even working for R* or getting paid bonuses. If I think something sucks and doesnt deliver ALREADY at this stage then the disaappintment will only grow larger with the final game.

It already has all the trappings of open world: hidden map, random repetitive events, stupid AI, small map, canned animations, limited environmental interactivity (i.e. jump from a mountain and you die even before hitting the ground with a pool of blood beside you like you got shot), really stupid dialogue as was previously pointed out), etc

How much better will it get from here? Its a next gen GTA on horses on steroids.

It's hard to take you serious, even when justifying your original post. Even insinuating that RDR2 could be a repeat of DNR is a low blow, and it's no wonder people see your post as trolling or bait.

You're certainly entitled to your opinions and all, no qualms there but I'm curious as to what kind of product a company has to make for you to be satisfied.
