lol, not once did I say I didn't care. It's why I posted,So in other words, your last post was full of shit, if you didn't care you wouldn't be in here posting. Period. Trash supports trash.

Still getting cyberpunk. I don't mix my games with politics. To answer your post, so I don't get banned. I'm answering OP statement on ignoring the twitter post, Okay? Okay.

omg
Rule #1 of apologies is to actually apologise. They should probably start there. To those who are unhappy with this response, what should GoG have said to rectify the outrage they caused with the deleted tweet?
You can download the games if you want. DRM-free.lol you seriously deleted an account with 120 games over a tweet?
Classic PC games = old school games
#wontbeerased = hashtag listed above
GOG is a service that sells online games
Classic PC games won't be erased on their service (GOG). What part don't you get?
...........what? Games can have politics. I'm not talking about virtual. I'm talking about real life. Each game has their own world, politics and story. The quest designer for Cyberpunk 2077:
"Cyberpunk is an inherently political genre and it's an inherently political franchise."
"So when you've got other studios saying, 'Oh, no no no, there's nothing political here', we say, 'Yeah, there is.'"
Lmao
"Hey, our social media manager keeps doing this. We fired him, he doesn't represent the values of our company" (In not those exact words obviously) would be a start. Apologies are empty when you keep doing the same shit.To those who are unhappy with this response, what should GoG have said to rectify the outrage they caused with the deleted tweet?
They're not talking about "Virtual" politics either. You're dense............what? Games can have politics. I'm not talking about virtual. I'm talking about real life. Each game has their own world, politics and story.
I'm also really interested in seeing how you manage to ignore politics in Cyberpunk.
I'm assuming when you click the [NEW GAME] tab, you will immediately smash your computer and throw it out the window?
"We apologize" would be a good starting point...To those who are unhappy with this response, what should GoG have said to rectify the outrage they caused with the deleted tweet?
It's in the OP and was quoted to you. What don't you understand or are you just trolling

It really is baffling that this is still a problem."Hey, our social media manager keeps doing this. We fired him, he doesn't represent the values of our company" (In not those exact words obviously) would be a start. Apologies are empty when you keep doing the same shit.

Publicly announce they've parted way with their social media manager, apologize, and promise to do better. That would be a nice start rather than "Our bad, we'll stick to games"To those who are unhappy with this response, what should GoG have said to rectify the outrage they caused with the deleted tweet?
"Cyberpunk 2077 is a game about people with power at the top and people at the bottom with none", he replied. "That power can come from money, hierarchies, technology and violence. The original Cyberpunk 2020 setting, like the setting of The Witcher stories, was a complex critique of the author's world, and we don't shy away from that in our games."...........what? Games can have politics. I'm not talking about virtual. I'm talking about real life. Each game has their own world, politics and story.
Not really big on outrage culture causing people to lose jobs unless its especially egregious, but this is strike two with the transphobia. They need to deliver assurances that this isn't acceptable behavior for their social media managers, at least. I dunno, it feels so unsatisfactory. Like they're waltzing around taking blame. To those who are unhappy with this response, what should GoG have said to rectify the outrage they caused with the deleted tweet?

Win back? They should take a stance against this shit, instead they double down on it, belittling the issue even.If I recall, the last time they did this they apologized and people said it wasn't good enough. I'm honestly wondering what they could do to make this right. Obviously they need to stop these tweets, but other than that can they win back anyone they pissed off?
No cyberpunk is including politics in a virtual world. They are putting their opinions and political agenda inside the world. I will play it to see what the views are in the game. Keynote: in the game. I'm talking about reality. If in game they have an agenda, I will still play it and beat the game, because it's a game. A game."Hey, our social media manager keeps doing this. We fired him, he doesn't represent the values of our company" (In not those exact words obviously) would be a start. Apologies are empty when you keep doing the same shit.

Is a boycott necessarily fair to the hard working developers, and other employees, who had nothing to do with this?
So they will keep selling older games?
But who doesnt sell older games?
Sony sells ps1 games etc.
Nintendo sells NES games still.
I probably still dont understand something about the tweet.

First of all, everyone should be unhappy with this response. It's garbage. To those who are unhappy with this response, what should GoG have said to rectify the outrage they caused with the deleted tweet?
I remember Daniel Varva mentioning how many devs he knows share the same (shitty) mentality as him but they're too afraid to "speak out" because that'd mean losing customers. Since he knows quite a lot of CDPR people the assumption was already made a while ago... so it unfortunately is what it is.I can't help but feel that someone high up the food chain shares the same values as whoever is working the social media because even if racism exists in the company, to not appear outwardly racist is so fucking easy, reprimand people, fire them, this is the face of the company, you'd want to shy away from this controversy. Unless you agree with it and get a kick out of it happening, complete with bullshit "apologies", only then can it explain management letting this happen a third time.

"We're sorry we made light of such a serious topic. The issues of the trans community in America and all around the world should never be taken lightly in the manner we did in our tweet. We are devoted to a diverse and welcoming community of gamers who all deserve respect."
CDP if you want a new PR person just slide into my DM
I feel like an asshole even thinking this, but I am questioning the age of some posters here...

https://wccftech.com/cyberpunk-2077-political-themes/Sci Fi Genre game with transhumanism as a core theme produced by a company that appears to be clueless, at best, about transgender rights IRL.
No politics tho dudes.

That's the companies problem, not ours.Is a boycott necessarily fair to the hard working developers, and other employees, who had nothing to do with this?
But they've created something for the world to enjoy. It's their their art and the result of all their hard work and sacrifice to make it happen. The rewards aren't just monetary.Boycotting a game doesn't prevent developers from getting paid.
Technically Sony stopped selling and producing PS1 games after a certain point. With the introduction of their online store, they did add some games, but some were locked outside various regions, some weren't backwards compatible, etc.
Nintendo doesn't sell NES games on the Nintendo Switch. They recently offered 20 or so with the Nintendo Online Service which you can play as long as your subscribed. Still no SNES games. No N64 games. These games aren't being reproducing physically and can't be found in their online store.
What GOG is saying is they'll continue to offer games, both old and new as long as publishers allow them. And these games will be DRM-free, which is unique. It really was just meant to be a PR thing, not meant to be taken super seriously. People have an issue with it because of the transphobia in the tweet.
