I wouldn't be surprised if Ellsbury continues to come down with mysterious and increasingly comical injuries for the next few years while Hal lets the insurance policy pay out the rest of his contract instead of being DFA'd.
It's great when there's an underdog. When both teams involved have mega payrolls and are ultra engineered it's tough to get excited about the series unless one is already a fan of one of the teams. It's more of a I hope the team I dislike less wins.
