This is a Special K bug in the game, I believe. Kaldaien seems to have moved on so it probably won't ever be fixed.I started getting a weird camera transition bug the other day - During the transition to the (classic) battle camera, I get a still frame of the MC standing at where they were when I loaded into the current area.
Has anybody else seen this? I've got Special K & the orchestral mods active.

I have it on every battle transition now. I'll try a clean Special K install and see if it goes away.

Why do I feel this patch was created only to fuck with the mod? It wouldn't be above Sugiyama. I'm sure he was pissed as fuck at this mod.
That most certainly wasn't the case, the patch was on PS4 too and fixed instances of crashing. On PC it also added expanded settings, such as more framerate options and graphical presets along with better keyboard controls.Still no update on the orquestarte mod working with the new patch?

If you miss the orchestral mod, you can download the previous build of the game via Steam's console:
- Input steam://open/console into your browser
- Input download_depot 742120 742121 6096163807173758332 and wait for the console to report "Depot download complete"
- Empty the game installation folder and replace the data with that in SteamApps\content\app_812140\depot_742121
So there fix for the mod after the last patch? I haven't touched the game since Odyssey and Horizon 4 came out.
Apparenty Special-K's mod is clashing with Ansel making Ansel turn into a black screen whenever I want to use it. Does anyone have a fix for this?
Otherwise, any suggestions on ways to apply texture mods without special K?
Because Unreal Engine 4 has an HDR rendering pipeline that is then converted to SDR. Basically the guy bypasses that step with his mod. It's far from perfect as the HDR output is pretty much raw and wasn't fine tuned. The modder said he was developing techniques to improve it, but no idea when we'll get anything more. He's no longer working on DQXI specifically, but instead furthering his HDR so it can be used on a wide range of games, including XI.Is the HDR convincing in this game ? How is this even possible to have a user-made HDR rendering ?
So I got a notification that the game was updated, and now it crashes everytime it starts up without loading the opening or anything. Anyone else? Any ideas?
Did you have the orchestral mod installed? This happened to me yesterday. Couldn't load the game. So I deleted all the files that came with that mod and then ran the tool to verify the game files and now it works.
I did the same. The 30gigs hurt, but I wanted to be sure.I did a clean install and installed the V2 of the music mod and everything worked fine again.

So the game doesnt work anymore for me.
I started the game yesterday. It gave me an error "cannot reach server or something".
Today I redownloaded it, backed up my saves and deleted the saves.
It crashes upon start.

The second after starting battles, my character is teleported to another location (standing in a tunnel), then the battle starts like normal. I am back to the field map as usual when the battle has ended. 100% reproducible every time I attack an enemy. I am running the game with special K and the v2 of the orchestral patch. Anyone who has had similar issues?

Some animations, like spears, runs in 30fps. Doesn't harm the game, just some animations won't look as smooth.Are there still draw backs to running the game in 60fps vs 30fps because of animations? I saw something about spears not working for some characters and dropping frames. I am only 3hrs in so far.
You have to replace the original one.Lol booted it up for the first time for about 2 months and now the game won't boot. Looks like the patch screwed something up.
Do you have the game installed on an SSD?Any tips or tweaks that might help textures load faster? I get stuff like this only for the texture to pop up seconds later if at all.
