I won't lie, for a second, I kinda expected the 'Reqiuem' typo on the tweet to be actually in the game lol
Ah, the soothing ambiance of a night rain playlist, "Transylvanian light rain" is my favourite Vania track.
When did work on this compolation start? Feels almost like a quick cash-in on the Belmonts in Smash announcement.
I don't see the problem. I mean, it looks terrible, but it's not forced on you. Those scanlines look suspect too. I'm more annoyed they skipped over the wallpaper options. I need to see if you can turn them off.
Oh man that game selection screen is abysmal. I like how the display options screen has a shot of the game so you know exactly how your tweaks look, though.
It's not realistic that this was done in less than two months as a reactionary thing (just considering the process of getting a project greenlit, the collaboration with Sony and usage of their PSP emulator, etc). The front end does look cheap as heck, though.
Oh scanline filter IS there. Nice! I thought they didn't include one. Doesn't look great but I'll hold off on judgement till I have it in front of me.
From that menu I think that this was supposed to be a Castlevania Collection but maybe Konami pulled out at the last minute to make more money by selling them piecemeal possibly?

Honestly, I don't even care. The trophy monsters are the only ones that really need this along with anybody that is coasting on nostalgia or new. The game looks ten times better through a good CRT or CRT filter. I can't be bothered to even go through them again when I have so many other games to play including various CV games lol. Hard pass. Looks like a cheap port being sold as something super duper even though it is missing the most important element in making it look how it should: a damn CRT filter that looks decent. F these companies not even willing to put 2 hours into making a decent CRT filter much less create decent menus. Not worth the cash.
Man, I was jelly as hell about this collection. Now that I see this, I'll stick with the backcompat version of SotN whenever that's on sale.
Not like the XBLA version has high quality menus. They look just as cheap.
Konami noticed switch already had a lot of quality games and didnt wanna ruin it with this amazing software.
Lazy as shit porting, as is standard for Konami.

Doubt it, this just confirms it really is the DXC without the 3d remake of Rondo, even the game selection is pretty similar to the one from that collection but with different backgrounds for the individual games. Also, is Peke not included in this? It was on DXC.
I'm waiting to hear about any input lag the games might have.

Even DXC seems weird to have a rotating super fancy menu for just 3 games. Usually you would reserve stuff like that for full collections. Imagine the Mega Man Collection's cool menu with just MM 1-3.

the menu itself doesn't look super busted, beyond the horrible game select screen.
I can't find a screenshot of the actual options menu from DXC but it is identical to the one from this release even including the shadow effect cast by the flame cursor (the new one is higher res of course).Here's another screenshot from one of the game menus. The styling is similar to the PS4's settings menu interface (not entirely).
