Dude is completely disconnected from reality, it's actually creepy.
Nah, he knows what he's doing. It's a deliberate, dirty attempt at brushing off this whole incident as a small setback, trying not to bring it up too much so that people won't think too much of his transgression, and then just continue along like nothing actually happened. And it fucking works, so many of his viewers go I LOVE YOU, I FORGIVE YOU.

Filip Miucin is a lying, cheating, plagiarising scumbag who -when caught red handed- gave a shitty non-apology and is now back making videos again like nothing happened and everybody is giving him a collective "nuh-uh, pal... go eat shit"

Not everyone, he has his defenders who deflect by saying he made ONE mistake and that we all have too.
Sure we've made mistakes but

Good summary, my favorite (if we can have one) part in this whole thing is still him going ''you can keep looking Kotaku, and please let me know if you find anything *smirk*'' and withing hours there was like, 10 different cases of his plagiarism including of a neogaf post (by CarthOhNoes ) and of his own IGN colleague.

You're forgetting the part where he was the worst podcast host of all time.

This is the description of this very forum as well.

It seems that some users wake up and think "who or what I'm gonna hate today?".

It is ok to dislike him, ignore him and let him live his life.

What he did was wrong, of course, but hating a person (or something) everyday is not right!

Or people want to protect future victims of intellectual theft by calling out a man's refusal to acknowledge his serial plagiarism and attempt to sweep it under the rug. There's very little chance of him not doing it again if he can't even recognize he did it many times already.

This is a gaming forum. We discuss game related topics. Both with positive and negative opinions. When it comes to someone stealing work from others (many of them his own friends and co workers), the vast majority of us are going to hold him in contempt.

What are you talking about???

The people here who are critisizing him don't wake up every day thinking about how much they hate him. He's only getting attention because he decided to come back to YouTube only 2 months after dragging an entire website's reputation through the mud.

He stole from several people over the course of entire career and never apologized to them for doing that or expressed genuine remorse for what he did.

He's more than likely to do it again.

One more thing, you want to talk about hate... there are few things I hate more than people who hide their shittiness behind the veil of wholesomeness and positivity... and that is Filip Miucin to a tee.

No.

What he did was wrong, and he should be forever blacklisted from the industry. End of fucking discussion. You, and others going "I WATCH HIS VIDEYAS CAUSE FUCK YOU GUYS YOURE MEAN LOL ALL HAIL MUICIN" is fucking insane.

Agreed. The level of degeneracy needed to copy reviews verbatim is bordering on the criminal. People still supportive of him either must see nothing wrong with what he did, or possess the same level of degeneracy, because there is nothing redeemable about what he did or how he handled the aftermath.

The video has a nice energy, he's not my type of speaker, way too positive and over excited, but I hope he turns his life around by actually creating his content from scratch. Everyone deserves a chance to do better.

Oh so that's what happens and how it works. It's not that the people that are the subject at hand didn't do anything to bring them to notoriety. It is just that the forum had collectively woken up as the hive mind that it is and chose Filip Miucin.

I remember when Neogaf chose Cliffy B that time.
Then another time Denis Dyack was chosen.
I think one day this forum chose JonTron and decided to bring Boogie along with him.

Yes he did a shitty thing and should have apologised.

But we should just ignore his work rather than making threads about him whenever he uploads? Yet we still have weirdos like Nick Robinson working in the industry yet nobody says anything about him. What Filip did was stupid. What Nick did was disgusting. Yet one can work in the industry gets to play stuff like Hitman 2 early. So clearly he's been welcomed back.

"Everyday"? This topic is in regards to a specific video and specific post which has relevance since he'd otherwise since disappeared. This isn't some Miucin OT.

Wat.

"Whenever he uploads."

This is his first upload in two months. Two months where he didn't post any videos because he was revealed to be an unethical fraud and possibly a sociopath.

Him coming out of the woodwork is news. Him glossing over what happened is news.

All these backseat mods. Sheesh.

I know I will, every time Nick Robinson comes up in a thread I will criticize him and anyone giving him a platform. Fuck Nick Robinson, he is a disgusting person, but that should not invalidate the criticism on Miucin.

I don't hate him and I wish him no harm. I hope he finds success in another medium.

But not hating him and actively supporting him are different things.

I will not support the content he makes because he committed the journalistic equivalent of a mortal sin. He plagiarized.

In any other profession if you break the cardinal rule you are fired and not allowed to do that job anymore.

Lawyers get disbarred and cannot practice law anymore. (Even if they are super sorry).
Doctors lose their medical license and cannot practice medicine anymore. (Even if they put up a monetized apology video).
Teachers loose certification and cannot teach anymore (Even if they are only 29 years old).

But even with that reality, I would be willing to forgive Flip. But he has to meet me half way.

If he would:

A. Take down videos that contain content he stole (or at least acknowledge the original authors and provide links to their content).

B. Apologize personally to the people he stole from or at least do a video where he names the people he has wronged (no vague "mistakes were made stuff).

C. Not jump back on the monetizing train until some reputation mending has been done.

Those would go a long way.

But I think the thing he should really do is find a job outside of games media. He is a talented video editor, and there are lots of good jobs in that. I will even support him there. But with so many talented, original, and credible games reviewers and youtubers out there who are struggling to find an audience, no, I will not put a known plagiarist on a pedestal above them.

Okay so I'm really confused by this:
https://twitter.com/RerezTV/status/1053723552979943425

If you didn't watch my video, what exactly is going on here?

This is the official website for the NS Glasses product, they link Filip on it very close to the top:
https://nsglasses.com/

nV2XFOW.png

Does anyone know some connection between this company and Filip?

Looks like now this makes sense, as Filip just posted a new review yesterday of this company's product. Won't link to it for the clicks, but you can look his channel up and see if you'd like. Seems like most of his comments are variations of "dude needs to apologize" but it seems like he's just going to push through and ignore it.

Yep. Filip loves gaming and the gaming community so much that he's decided to make outright commercials for whoever will pay him.

Which I'd be okay with, if they were specifically and proactively declared as such. But of course, as Filip is a scumbag, they're not.

I guess just glowingly talking about a shitty piece of plastic you strap to your face is the obvious next step when you can't form your own opinions about products.

These podcasts and news websites need to outright destroy him. Make it clear he still has plageriazed content in his YouTube channel to this day. Make it clear he still hasn't even apologised or stated what he has done.

The difference is that Nick posted a real apology (which was a letter, not a clickbaity video. where he admitted everything). He did what he needed to do in order to move on and continue to work in this industry.

While here with Filip there was no apology and all his videos with those stolen reviews are all still there on his channel, and he's making money from those, or helping to promote the channel. (when a video has 600k views you understand is not nothing, i wish people paid more attention to this rather than the apology)

So for me i don't think anyone should give him "a second chance" until he removes those plagiarized contents and post a real apology where he lists all the sources he used. (not just Boomstick Gaming)

I'm over being upset at him, but he needs to stay far away from games journalism. There are a million other career options out there, maybe he can pick one he actually cares about.

I feel like all that happened from him stealing other peoples reviews are

1) He made himself more popular. It seems like almost everyone who watches his stuff on YT are there to bash on him, or found out about the drama, and have let it go and like his content. Either way, it has provided him with more of a following.

2) Made the person who he originally stole from more popular.

He'll continue to be popular because people like OP will repost his content. Kind of funny.

I could imagine a follow up or profile by an outlet sometime down the line, but what you're describing would be a waste of time and resources.

"Popular" is an exaggeration and I don't see how this claimed popularity anyway matches what he was likely being paid by IGN and then add in his career growth that tends to come with the position he was in. He's not doing great, and now he is just literally shilling products like a paid ad.

Being infamous doesn't pay the bills.
