Nerd Monkey's Point & Click Adventure game series Detective Case are heading to Nintendo Switch, and is currently being worked on for the platform. They are aiming for a 2019 release.

Thanks to F-Pina for the news.

Huh, I didn't actually know there was one after Hotel Lisbon. Will keep an eye out.

Oh, I thought these games would release this year. Well, 2019 is just around the corner.

We want to try and get 3 possible control choices: touch, analogues / buttons and pointing.

I love playing adventure games with good touch controls on the Switch (I don't own a pad, so it's my only touch device). Unfortunately, there are a couple of games that don't play well with the screen, particularly Broken Sword 5 and The Wardrobe because of various reasons. I'm not sure if pointer controls would be comfortable. It depends on the size of the interactive elements I guess.

Adventure games are really well suited for handheld gaming though. If I get stuck I just lie down in bed or on the couch with the Switch and think about possible solutions.

I will probably buy the game once it launches next year as I just can't get enough of the genre. It's a pity that AGS adventures can't be easily ported to the Switch, because we would get so much more content then.

Still pretty satisfied with all the releases this year and I hope the support will continue into the future even if it sometimes feels like nobody else is buying/playing these games.

Oh man, I misread that as Detective Conan and got all excited for a moment there, lol. It's been a bit since we've had one, so a bit sad once I made the realization.

Still, this actually sounds really cool. Can always go for more point & click adventure games, especially on the go.

This works as a good remainder that I still need to play Murder in the Hotel Lisbon. No clue why I haven't started it yet, looks just up my alley.

Thanks guys.
Just take note that our games are really divisive on the humor department. Some people love it and others hate it so check the videos (or some of the fair reviews) first before jumping in.
