I passed my vision test 8 years ago without glasses. My vision has gotten far worse since then, requiring glasses or contacts for daily life, and I've had my license renewed without needing to take another test.
That's the same reasoning as young children putting their hands over their eyes to hide themselves while saying "you can't see me".

They are financially incapable of hiring on another person at the moment, but Jones has said on CoJ that if/when they can, they'll seek to hire diversely.
Jones said mulitple times on CoJ that he would love that too. Its a far off dream though as they don't have the budget at all to add an extra person. I guess hiring anyone extra would only happen once they'd reach 65-70k / month.

As long as the new person fits well with the group I am up for who ever they can come up with. For me personally it wouldn't really matter who that person is, so of obviously a woman would be fine with me as well (I don't see why it wouldn't be). It's unfortunate (but understandable) that Elyse left back at GT, but she for sure added something great to the group. That said, I don't think they are in a position to hire anyone at this point as Noah and Stinkinmushroom pointed out. I personally don't think that hiring a person at the moment is a good idea.
As I finished dd season 3 today I thought "I hope they do a spoiler mode". And my wish was granted!
