That was a GOOD day.

Since the Switch has released, I've played it more than any other platform and I'm still excited about what is to come.

New York, NY, USA
Breath of the Wild, Bayonetta 2, and Octopath Traveler.
These are the games I've played and loved on the console so far.

Definitely worth the purchase just for those 3.

Edit: (Soon to play The World Ends With You - Final Remix)

That pre-reveal thread with the fake switch and people actually trying to determine the leak based on trees was glorious.

It has lived up to it's promise. Haven't used it as much this year, but I'll definitely be using it a lot more once Smash and Let's Go come out.

it's too bad that bethesda ended up never releasing those cool tech demos in that trailer, it's a shame

lol I don't know what people were thinking with that tech demo talk. Some people were picking up on the general hat theme just from that clip.

a place beyond seeing...
I had been following the NX hype train intensely. When the reveal was announced the night before, I was holding TA office hours for an intro computer science midterm...those students probably wondered why their TA got a sudden burst of exuberance at 5:30pm after checking Twitter.

Seriously, what a great console. Pretty much everything in that initial reveal materialized within ~1 year of the trailer, too — and I think the best is yet to come.

Fantastic year last year.

Ho-hum so far this year...

I am still glad I bought it though!

The trio of Breath of the Wild, Super Mario Odyssey and Golf Story made it worthwhile, and I was utterly engrossed with Hollow Knight earlier in the year too.

I just wish that this current 'Wii U ports' phase was over and done with.

Amazingest of consoles. Next year is going to be insane.

Heck yeah

Fire Emblem: Three Houses
Animal Crossing
Pokemon Gen 8
Luigi's Mansion 3

Possible Bayonetta 3 and Metroid Prime 4...
And that's just the stuff we know of. Nintendo tend to reveal games a few months before their release.

I love Odyssey and Breath of the Wild. Hollow Knight is amazing too, but there's not enough handholdimg for me. Put the game down for a while and now I'm totally lost. Also have Stardew Valley, and I enjoy it, but I want to restart and really get into it.

I'm really looking forward to the future of the Switch. Next year should be great with Fire Emblem, Animal Crossing and Pokemon 2019. And I'll be playing Smash throughout its life. And maybe I'll get Xenoblade 2 someday. Maybe after a revision and the handheld performance is better.

At the moment I'm just looking forward to December 7th. Christmas tree, hot drinks, a blanket and Smash. I'll feel like a kid again and it'll be great.

It's hard to believe it's only been two years since its reveal, especially since the console has been out for over 18 months.

Anyway, I love my Switch, and there's a lot to look forward to in the future. In the meantime in going to try to get caught up on some games I already own and still need to beat, as well as quite a few that I haven't bought at all yet.

The Day the insanity known as NX speculation came to an end. And what a glorious ride this was lol

I'm gonna watch some reactions now

What's this about?
SuperMetalDave went on for months that it wasent going to be a hybrid and he made like 20+ video stating it and that was his reaction to the reveal live, the salt was real

The reveal trailer accomplished more in a few minutes than anything the Wii U did in it's lifetime, marketing-wise.

Such a confident piece of hardware.

I was F5ing the Nintendo Youtube page until it popped up. Now if I recall correctly, my immediate reaction upon seeing the thumbnail was "NINTENDO SWITCH WHAT".

Perfect debut trailer though. The complete opposite of the Wii U trailer my god I will never get over how bad that was put this on my tombstone

It's still terrific how Nintendo went from the disasterous WiiU announcement to this being crystal clear without the need of even a single word.

Such a great reveal. The whole cycle from this to roughly a year later when Mario Odyssey came out was incredible.

I havent used my Switch this much in 2018, but 2019 will probably have me spend hundreds of hours between Pokémon and Animal Crossing alone

Man, 2016 was such a rough year lol. That reveal was so cathartic after it all though.

As soon as they showed Mario, I was in.
That long? I was sold as soon as he undocked it.

Best console reveal I've witnessed in my life.
It's going to be damn hard to top. Not a lot of companies release game consoles that are also Transformers.

The reveal trailer accomplished more in a few minutes than anything the Wii U did in it's lifetime, marketing-wise.
The sad part is that this isn't hyperbole.

I still miss the NX speculation due to the sheer insanity of it all. Time sure does fly, Switch is a great piece of hardware and I can't wait to see what Nintendo brings for 2019.

It's quickly rising up the ranks of my favorite consoles. Think Ultimate will make it top the list.
