I use it just barely enough to not want to turn it off. Plus I don't have many false positives with it.

I don't know why people are poo poo'ing this feature.
Is there another way to undo typing or undo an action in the Mail app?

I've found it useful when I accidentally deleted or messed something up.

DONT DO IT. I ALMOST DROPPED MY PHONE.

That's part of their strategic business plan.

Shake your phone, whoops, shattered glass, genius bar, please fix screen, too expensive, new iPhone is out, not going to do it, yes I am going to do it, stand in line, even bigger screen. time to show off. can't find headphone jack, shake to undo. whoops....

undoing typing is rather pointless - undoing deleting something (like accidentally full-swiping an email when you meant to flag it) is where it's at.
Shake it, baby!

I still use shake to undo, but it feels like such a holdover from the days of "Look, your phone has an accelerometer!" Just give me an Undo button somewhere.

Extra Extra fun fact? that makes me an old person.

Shake was a video compositing software suit from the late 90's that Apple bought in the early 2000's (Think Adobe After Effect). It was node based, so you connected visual nodes with lines to perform compositing actions.

To undo a node connection, you grabbed the node connection with a mouse, and you would shake it with the mouse and it would undo the connection.

I'm not 100% sure, but i'm relatively sure this is why that feature exists in iOS.
