How many times has this been delayed already? Geez. Not looking good for this title.

It's been shown what the last 3 straight E3's?

God damn it, I just did a video on it based on my EGX Berlin gameplay and now the dates on it are obsolete.

Oh, well. It's better for the game, anyways. It seemed to have technical issues and now the devs have more time and it's not launched in such a crowded time period.

can crackdown even afford another delay announcement?
Why not? It's not like an extra month or two wait will be the straw which breaks the camel's back. Hell they could probably even delay it 6 months into 2019 Holiday Season if somehow they've struck gold. It's at the point now where people just want it to come out and be good.

Great call. This game needs all the time they can give it. And that is a huge relief I bet to the devs and to the people hoping for success. Feb was coming too early for this game.

As Long as it's not in March.

March as it is right now is perfect.

Devil May Cry 5, Division 2, Sekiro

Perfectly balanced

We've seen almost nothing with TLOU2. I think yeah that game could be launch PS5 at this point if they really do 2019.

It's Naughty Dog. I still think it's coming in 2019. Uncharted 4 came out in 2016. This is enough time since then for a new game. No way it's just Dreams and Days Gone for 2019. There has to be one more.

I think it says something about Sony's lack of faith in the game to be honest. If you're not confident releasing it against other new IPs, it doesn't exactly send the right message.

Fix the running animation.
You have to fix the running animation.

Please, no. They should make it even more obvious!

Good for the game, Days Gone still looks rough and uninspiring, April is a safe month, January-February and March are too crowded.

I think Sony is confident the game needs a little more polish. That is about it. A couple months for Bend's first big game is not something to worry about. I am very glad it got a little delay.

This isn't true. Just from the last showing at TGS the game had massive improvement from the last build. Almost night and day.

Yeah, it's pretty obvious to me this game needed 6 months. I think in that time span they can really polish it up and make it feel like a great B tier game from their big studios. Maybe even touching on the A tier now.

I hope Sony creates another massive launch party, like Uncharted, Horizon, God of War and Spider-Man - their success proves them right, I guess. I'm not hyped, because I've never been a horror/zombie fan. But I can imagine that a proper marketing campaign wouldn't be out of place. Yeah, put it in the spotlight.

Feb 22nd is not only crowded as hell.

Many people are still playing all the games they picked up or where gifted during the Christmas period.

This is fine. Based on what I've seen some polishing is in order. I really hope they get the gunplay down, it looks weak right now. Game like this can live or die by how it controls.

Good decision. Feb can be devoted to Metro now! Plus possibles Anthem...

Does anybody's else feel like Days Gone is turning into Sonys version of the Crackdown saga ?

It could literally come out today. Really dislike everything I've seen of it. If i will pick it up it will be in some digital sale for $10

I don't get why they delayed it two months? Why not a couple of weeks or a month like other Sony game delays? Are big games releasing in March already (I thought not)?

I feel a bit sorry for Bend as this game was on track for release right around today wasn't it?

No matter the reason for the delay (polish or overcrowded schedule) April is pretty WFO so it'll no doubt help.

I hope at least it opens the door for Dreams to release during Q1. Otherwise it's going to be the first year in quite some time where Sony doesn't have a prominent title for that period.

PS: And here I am thinking, January and March are much stronger than February.

In March there are: Division 2 which will be huge, DMCV and Sekiro. Oh, and MLB from Sony.

Isn't The Division March? GoW was the same date last year too.

Days Gone is not comparable to crackdown at all, that game is a fucking train wreck that. All you need to do it look up its unveiling, its subsequent showings, it getting release date than it going MiA than it getting reannounced followed by a release on Feb 22. Like how much do we even know about the game? Not much.

While Days Gone has been appearing at every conference with better builds and is even fully playable this year.

It could literally come out today. Really dislike everything I've seen of it. If i will pick it up it will be in some digital sale for $10

As if Days Gone already doesn't have enough people who aren't interested stopping by to chime in on how much they aren't interested in this forum already Lol. Might as well save that $10 for a burger and fries, you'll enjoy that more.

Spread their releases throughout 2019 and 2020
Yes, but I mean, in this case specifically, couldn't it be that they just decided to avoid that awful release date, while giving it room to breathe and additional time to polish?

And by the way, I do believe in a 2020 release for the PS5. I'm just skeptical if this is any indication of it, yet, aha.
