Some changes. If you follow a curator or dev/pub, they will be shown on the upcoming tab.

The upcoming tab also filters now from your preferences, so you most likely wont see any Asset Flips or "Putin vs Boobs vs Trump".

The previous iteration of Upcoming was just too unfiltered for most customers to use it effectively. A piece of data for you: the old Upcoming list was only clicked on by less than half of one percent of customers whereas Top Sellers is clicked on by almost four percent. It's clear to us that a brief (and sometimes very brief) spot on Steam's front page isn't useful if your game is shown to a random set of customer

Also its a bit surreal to see Yakuza, Shenmue or MH in that promotional image by Valve. Imagine 6-7 years ago, we would have believed its fake.

Changes looking good.

Especially the part where you still have access a completely unfiltered view.

Seems they are implementing the UI changes to the HTML of the website in small portions instead of the complete overhaul. (Which is good for them for debugging but not so much spectacular for us...)

Seems like a really nice change. Also there's an upcoming release queue at the bottom? It empty for me right now. A discovery queue just for upcoming games would be kinda nice though.

Here I thought Steam needed some serious curation and that Valve have made zero effort to update the store...

Good on Valve to finally realize the problem.

In before "Valve wants you to do all their curation for them" comments.

I really like the look of this. Its already far more relevant to me then any method of discovery they've attempted to provide so far.

Thank you... I can actually look at stuff coming soon to Steam. Maybe. I'll have to test-drive it.

Looking better already. Discovered Wayward Souls is finally getting its PC port in the popular upcoming tab, been wanting it for a couple years now.

It's already working very well.

Steam is so far ahead of any other storefront, and it continues to see updates regularly.

This is a great improvement! I hope Valve continues updating and improving their existing screens. Personal preferences is the key to finding new games you may like.

This is really cool, but the only way to access it is by clicking 'more upcoming releases' on store home page?

It should be on default homepage tbh, after the featured banners & special offers. It's cleaner than the current homepage layout.

It seems to work rather well.

I mean, I'm not a huge fan of DQ, but Steam can't really know this from my Steam history :P
VC4 and Bloodstained are two of the upcoming games I'm looking forward to most.

(Also, it seems like "changes coming" with these UI things on Steam is often "changes are here")

The upcoming games section was utterly useless before, this makes it something I will bother looking at from time to time, so yeah job well done on that front.

Yeah, really liking this update. The changes they've been deploying as of late seem well thought out and useful, and it might just be me but they really seem to be making Steam easier to use, and better able to help you find what you're looking for. I also like the kind of "frosted glass" aesthetic they've been using on things like the tabs (in chat) and the backgrounds (in the developer pages).

Whatever they do I hope they don't remove unfiltered view. I fear they make something like google did time ago with its always on safesearch at some point.

I didn't know where else to post this:

On the Steam store page when I go to "New releases" below, all the images in the list won't load and if I inspect it (I'm using Firefox), it says the connection is not secure.

The owner of cdn.akamai.steamstatic.com has configured their website improperly. To protect your information from being stolen, Firefox has not connected to this website.

And advanced info:

cdn.akamai.steamstatic.com uses an invalid security certificate. The certificate is only valid for the following names: a248.e.akamai.net, *.akamaihd-staging.net, *.akamaized.net, *.akamaihd.net, *.akamaized-staging.net Error code: SSL_ERROR_BAD_CERT_DOMAIN

I had this issue for a long time now, first I thought Steam would fix it but apparently not. Maybe it's on my end.

Anyone else have this issue?

I had this issue with some other sites recently. Checked and noticed my hosting provider moved me over to ipv6. Rang them up and asked them to be put back to ipv4 and things have seemed fine since.
