Quick. Someone tell Andre at Gamexplain so he can go nuts.
EDIT: LOL, right as I post.
You'll be pleased.
The new HP coaster is already going to have dropping tracks, multi launches and themed up to 11. SML rides are going to crush it with the new tech Uni is putting together.Hot damn. *fist bump*
Between the DK ride patents (simulating a mine car actually jumping the tracks) and the Mario Kart ride patents (screens, rotating rooms, interactive drifting and weapons, etc.) this has serious potential to be amazing, and not just for gamers.
Seriously underrated post.

The bad news is that they'll probably wait to start construction until the 4th gate is announced. :-(
LOL amazing. It's actually mostly a parking structure, with a few office floors. A friend used to work in that building and I got to check it out. Pretty boring as you'd expect.
Area outlined in red has been demolished since last year. They would need to destroy even more soundstages to expand it more as Transformers is not going anywhere

That's gonna be for Japan.
They better keep a space for KITT!Oh no! Hopefully it didn't affect the Adventures of Conan: Sword and Sorcery Spectacular!
Yup, it's Universal Studios Hollywood -- they're jammed in there as it is between the 101 freeway, the Hilton, and the NBC offices. Universal is doubling down on the motion simulators in Hollywood because it's the only way to get more attractions into their meager space. I'll be honestly surprised if the replacement for Jurassic Park keeps its footprint the same. We're fortunate USH is getting anything at all! That place is essentially landlocked and they've had to demolish soundstages to make room.
Honestly Universal just needs more actual rides, last time I went it was motion simulator after motion simulator. Started to feel stale pretty quickly. Even the Hogwarts ride was kinda disappointing. At least in the Mummy ride you actually, you know, move.
They should annex part of Citywalk, since the recession that place is a lot less popular and entire areas of it are basically empty even during the summer. Or downsize the backlot and put in an actual themed roller coaster.
Its possible in the long run. The Stages to the left as far as I can tell haven't been used since 2010 for anything. So if they decide to remove them they could almost double the amount of land currently available. Really just depends on how much they want to lose and how big they intend Nintendo land to really beCool! Universal Hollywood typically kills rides so I'm glad they're building in a new area. I just hope they get Escape from Gringots some day...I went to Orlando last month and it was the best dark ride ever!
Wouldn't rule it out as so much production is shifting out of Hollywood due to tax incentives. Disney for example only has a fraction of the sound stages universal does.
With it being smaller space, maybe that might mean this version will be completed sooner.
I'm curious, the Japan version started construction last year right? progress should be pretty decently well along by now right? Anyone know of any construction pictures?

I saw talk of a Luigi's mansion ride recently but not sure if it's confirmedI haven't kept up with rumors for half a year now, but from what I remember the rumors were...
-- Mario Kart dark ride: Uses practical effects and limited interactivity
-- Yoshi omnimover
-- DK Mine cart Coaster (not in Japan, possibly Orlando exclusive)
On top of that there's been rumors of Zelda replacing Lost Continent.
Most of the speculation seems to be Mario/Zelda/Pokemon for IPs that are being talked about.

We need warp pipes leading from our homes to Nintendo WorldIf they have warp pipes, they need to lead to somewhere.
If they have warping warp pipes with like underground rooms I will have to visit
In the Japan pic I posted? Probably, they have a Sesame Street area. The Mario Kart building is the one right at the back behind the Harry Potter building. I guess it will be a long time before they start resembling their IP.
Construction was supposed to begin a while ago but they changed their plans and are wondering to make it a bigger part of their rumored 3rd park instead of just adding it to Universal Studios Orlando.
That'd get me to spring for an Annual Pass for sure.
For the record folks, when the Orlando park begins its construction, follow bioreconstruct on twitter. He goes up in a plane almost daily to take pictures of construction on various theme park related items all around Orlando, including WDW.
