He doesn't 'deserve' another chance, nor does anyone owe him a career. He stole from other writers and passed it off as his own, and, in an industry that doesn't pay particularly well, your own words and passion are all you have. If he can't muster enough enthusiasm to come up with his own thoughts, it says to me that all he cares about is the exposure and the ad revenue. He doesn't deserve a thing.
This so fucking much! He didn't fuck over his viewers, he fucked people just like him trying to make a living has writers/producers in the game industry. This shit is honestly indefensible to me as someone who also works in a industry where your personal touch is 90% or more in a product (graphic designer here).

Welp, I guess everything is explained in the video then. The guy is still a transparent sell-out who is just here for the money.

Can't believe that I even doubted that.

The Stussining
His name is forever tarnished no matter how long he takes a sabbatical for.

He could be gone for 15 years and then return and all it takes is one person pointing out his history for the whole thing to repeat itself.

He got the name of the product he reviewed wrong. In the video and description he has it called GuliTech. It's really GuliKit.

I watched his video. First one I've seen from this fellow and I can see why IGN gave him a job. His production and editing are clean and the pacing on this video is good, if not a little fast. However, I'm not sure if what he adds to the public discourse is enough to pull himself out of the hole he's dug.

He's probably gonna have a lot of success, I imagine. Remember, no such thing as bad publicity.

He doesn't miss the community or love doing this, he misses the money and loves your easy view money. If he cared even a little about the community, none of that stuff would've happened to begin with.

What a shallow apology. Has he admitted that he plagiarized and directly apologized to the person he copied it from?

...the ups and downs of this past year, has made me realize how much I love doing this, making videos for you right here on YouTube. It's exactly where I want to be...

Seriously.

Getting fired for multiple instances of plagiarism in a professional career has made you realize how much you love making YouTube instead.

This guy....

He should have a video apologising individually to everyone he stole from. Then maybe I might think he's sincere. This just feels like sweep everything under the carpet.

Lmao fuck off, Filip. Find a new job and move on with your life. Plagiarism has no place in any form of journalism or even enthusiast press.

Let's get something straight here: It wasn't a "person" he plagiarized from.

There are literally dozens of instances of him plagiarizing someone, including him plagiarizing his own coworker and another where the video is literally just him reading a RE user's forum post word for word. IIRC most things he has put out where found to be plagiarized to at least some degree.

So it's more like a huge list of people he would have to directly apologize to. lol

Meh, honestly don't give a shit either way.

He did a shitty thing, but it's not like he killed someone. I don't spend my time with Youtubers/Streamers much anyway.

I wouldn't be watching him either way.

What is that video? Holy crap, dude. "I'm sorry, anyways here's the best transmitter for nintendo switch" Is he the Tommy Wissau of video games?

Also don't have music playing and over produce it with a damn bumper at the start, geez.

Does anyone still have that video on how to point out a bad "I'm sorry" video? Because that's still spot on.

Edit: Found it.

First: he still doesn't apologize at all, he just mentions (where it counts, ie the actual video e not comments) he realized what's his preferred career path

Second: this guys doesn't get it. He's done with this career: the few who will follow him out of curiosity and the handful of fan diehards that today everybody seem to have, are NOT going to be able to sustain him and his family financially. He's got at the most 6 months if even to create attention on himself before he'll fade away

I hope the guy lands back on his feet, but he gotta say goodbye to the videogames business

Eh, I really don't give a damn anyway.

He did a crappy thing, but it's not like he murdered someone. I don't spend much time watching youtubers or streamers either way.

I won't be watching him anyway.

The thing is, it's really not that much money. He has a fairly small channel and ad revenue is in the toilet in YouTube.

I'd be okay with completely forgetting about him, but I do appreciate you presenting what he pinned as his comment so my curiosity wouldn't drive me to clinking on the video. I don't want to give him the view. So thanks for that.

Oh come on, as much as I'd like an actual apology video from him, I think the dude at least deserves a second chance. It's not like he's irredeemable or actually a shitty person in games media like Nick Robinson or Ian Miles Cheong.

Why are people asking for a second chance? Its not like he copied one thing, nd it was an honest mistake or whatever. He fucked MULTIPLE people over. Hell, he plagiarized his own fucking Resume for fuck's sake.

Then there's the part where game journalism is a pretty niche field that people are passionate about, and having someone like him essentially steal the job from under someone else is fucked. Like, your entire job is to review shit and give YOUR opinion on it, if you can't do that, what the fuck are you even doing?

Its not like game reviewers make a lot of money either that he decided to ride that wave.

I don't believe he shouldn't ever be forgiven. With time, sure. But, I certainly don't believe he should ever work in the industry again.

Just as cringe-inducing as his first video after being fired in August. This guy is something else...

This guy has somehow invented a way to deliver the least sincere apologies I have ever seen or read.
