The comic character was named Nura Nal, so she at least took an Earth first name.
Except Supergirl Putin will look more Putin than actual Putin
The ep doesn't instill any more faith if you had in any other ep before it... true.
Having said that, if you were ok with most of the previous stuff, this is about as average as it gets that premiere.
How many more villains from Smallville are going to show up as different characters across all these shows this season?

The Formula is changed a little with Winn no longer recurring, J'onn is not at the DEO, and Alex is the Director instead.

Not really considering his mother and sister have referenced him over the seasons. Also, the article states he will not appear in the crossover and has a recurring role on Supergirl
That doesn't exclude the possibility... Lex is Supes main rival.. though he won't be in crossover, if this Lex does good... he could appear as the Lex of Supes' own show.

Sure, but I'd be more inclined to believe this was a setup for Superman had he been revealed for the crossover. I feel this is more about the seeds they've planted coming to fruition.
Lex appearing eventually was always going to happen with how much they referenced him, but it could still be related to potential plans for a Superman show. Especially since this will be coming right on the heels of Lois appearing as well.
