No, that's body armour like a John Wick suit.
This is more seeing guy shooting him, then realising he gets up again, it's everywhere in horror movies especially zombie flicks.
They pay him no mind as they unloaded on him.
He sends them off with a message that he will get up again and keep coming

Agreed. This Batman is theatrical in a classic movie monster/killer sort of way. Baleman is theatrical in a be sneaky and then snarl and glare sometimes kind of way.

What if they shot him in the face though?

Can't apply too much logic. I mean, for instsnce, there's very little stupider in the realm of Batman than "the yellow oval is the most heavily armored part, it's a target to draw fire, a trick!" How about don't get shot at at all? What if you get shot in the face? What if all these idiot criminals maybe aren't good enough shots to hit your little chest target accurately 100% of the time as you run and glide and swing and dodge and fight?

I absolutely love the first half of Batman Begins, but I'm not a huge fan of the second half. We get a great introduction to the new serious, "grounded" Nolan Batman, but then it starts to morph into more of a comic book thing by the finale. To me it seemed like they were hesitant to go all in and remove the "fun" from Batman. As if someone got cold feet and worried that audiences wouldn't like it.

The Dark Knight on the other hand clearly doubled down on the gritty realism vision. They stopped trying to make Gotham look like the comics and the tone stayed pretty serious. I think the start of Begins had higher highs, but as a complete package TDK is better.

Obviously Batman as a concept is totally unrealistic, so when I say "realistic" I'm talking in relative terms.

All of this and no one posted No Man's Land from Wonder Woman yet?

I've seen the movie more than half a dozen times and it still gives me chills.
Has everything you want from a big coming out moment.

Ditto here. Was pretty surprised about the absence. Also shout out for the plane scene in Superman Returns.

I'll put Professor X's entrance in X2 as my contribution here. Or Nightcrawler in the White House, which I saw someone else post.

Captain America 2 had the brst opening of a modern super hero movie IMO.

Best character introduction goes to the birth of Dr. Manhattan in Watchmen.
