OK era,

Sorry if this thread is not allowed, but I think we should create a separate thread to discuss the plans for release date, so people can share tips on how to get the game earlier, or how they will enjoy the GOTY on release date.

In my case, I just found out that Bestbuy (that is NATIONAL EVENT), will be able to sell the game 9pm on Thursday (even if you are in EST). I am in Michigan for example, and my store said I just need to walk in few minutes before closing time (9pm) and they will sell me the game.

No need to wait until midnight. I might be playing the game before people that pre-ordered digitally, which is nice!

I will go home, install and try to play a bit. I have work at 7AM on Friday, but will be able to leave around noon , so I have the rest of the day to play this masterpiece

come here to bitch about how the game failed to preload and have to wait at least two weeks to play though i dont expect it to be as bad as GTA massive volume fucking shit up (PSN)

If that's true about picking it up on Thursday night, then that's absolutely what I'm doing.
Thought about taking a sick day on Friday. I did it for Red Dead Redemption, so it might only be proper...

During the day of play, I'll most likely order some chinese food and get comfortable.

I ordered it online and chose the option for it to be delivered at a store that also serves as a post office and drop/pickup point.
That way I don't have to be home for it (because I'll be at work) and I don't have to worry about a mailman having trouble to find the address, since the pickup address is widely used.
I'll pick it up from my way home after work, let it install and then it's goodbye world. ~(￣▽￣~)

Going to wait and see how the 100 hours stuff shakes out. If it shakes out to better than it looked a few days ago, I'll likely grab it from Best Buy with the last vestiges of my GCU membership.

I can't buy the game until Friday 00:01 so I'll do that, download the game, sleep, go to work, come back home and play until monday more or less.

I am typically able to get games a few days early in LA, so I assume I will be able to find a copy Tuesday or Wednesday night. So I will just play and post impressions before the review embargo if possible.

Get home at around 18:00

Hope the mailman delivered the game already.
Eat -> put my kid to bed.
Act natural around my wife until she goes to bed.

Hope to dear god everything is installed and updated at that time.
Hopefully get a few hours in before I crash completely and fall asleep on the couch.

Wake up the next day at 6:00 when my daughter wakes up.

Going to have my friend over and we are going to get it at Gamestop at 9pm, but twist I already have it preloaded at home. We are making Old Fashion whiskey drinks and Sarsaparillas and she's making Cowboy cookies. Yeehaw!

The GAME UK Facebook is full of people paying twice the RRP just for the digital trinkets. Puts me off, it'll keep.

I will probably get the game on Thursday evening and play a bit. I have Fridays off so I can play after I get back from the gym. But I just found out that the 2-day block party I go to every year is next Friday and Saturday. So no time for me to play in the evening. Hopefully I am not too hungover to play Saturday noon before the party continues.

I have the game pre ordered for the X but i'm going to try and see if i can find an early copy somehow a couple of days before release. So hoping I can find an early physical copy which i'd buy and then sell once my digital copy unlocks

It actually comes out on my birthday and I've got plans all weekend, but I did take Monday off work so I could sit down and play all day. Little post birthday celebration time for myself. Looking forward to it.

Disc will arrive while I'm at work, so I'll install and play for a few hours on Friday night.

Probably won't play a lot until Sunday though, because I'll be at work again on the Saturday and I'm out Saturday night with the Mrs and friends.
