It already promotes camping for giving merits if you place in the top 15.
Eh idk if this is true. I'd be shocked if anyone was consistently getting to top 15 by camping and avoiding gun fights.
I know the after action report, lists damage done. I thought that gave some merits. But does it not?
Damage done does not.
Top 15/10/5 (solo/duo/quad) gives.
Kill gives.
Challenges give.
I would like to see either placement (every x in front of you gives y merits), and/or damage dealt (every x damage dealt gives y merits).

I think this is lag comp? I feel the same. In some matches, I go 40-10 and then in the next, I go 20-20 or something. Haha! Spawns are terrible in Domination. Few games in and you can guess where enemies are coming from. The spawns were never this bad in BO3.
If you feel confident with your reflexes, hop into a hardcore mode like kill confirmed.
Even if you're not playing that well, kills come so quickly that you'll Max a gun out in just a few hours.

Disagree. I remember all the time getting spawned killed over and over again mostly due to how powerful scorestreaks were in the game, and also doing it to people myself. I remember just destroying teams with the Cerberus and Wraith.

I agree. I started seeing so many inconsistencies in this game and it's the exact reason I stopped playing cod years ago. Bullets literally stop doing damage even though I'm still getting hit markers. Crazy spawns, players rubber banding, just not fun anymore for me lol.
Is anyone able to tell me how I go about selecting special issue equipment in create a class?
Its not entirely clear that it unlocks at a certain level. I can see the trophy system, Molotovs etc unlock after a few levels but nothing about specialist equipment like grapple gun etc.

Just reached level 20 in Blackout. Can't stop playing!
To anyone new with Blackout, one piece of advice I could give is to learn what the different perks are and how you can use it to your advantage.

Outlander is one of my favorites for the end game. You take less damage from the circle and movement is faster when you're in it. Towards the end game, one tactic is to use this and stay in the circle in hopes of picking off someone by surprise. From what I've seen, people aren't too concerned with what's outside the circle so that's your chance to sneak up. Just make sure you have a good amount of heals.
Skulker is another good one. Lets you crouch walk super fast, as if you're sprinting. Crouching makes your footsteps quieter so having that AND moving fast is awesome.
Dead Silence is probably one of the best. Who doesn't like being silent!
Trauma kits are your friend. They increase your health to 200. Always like to carry at least 1 with me.
Since the beta, I was a fan of the Swordfish but haven't used it during MP yet. I just finished a Blackout match with it and I love it. Most likely my go to weapon for that mode. A shotgun is pretty nasty, too, at close range. I think I have a clip of a fight I had that I'll post up.
If you're struggling in Blackout, just try and familiarize yourself with perks and weapons. Also, patience is needed. Even if you see someone, it might not be the best time to shoot. I was never a patient guy with these games, lol. That was my biggest problem but BR games helped with that. Learn when it's safe to go or hang back.

i don't disagree, but i just find the Blackout map has much better gameplay flow and pacing.

Hm, ever since a recent update, my brother has had huge connectivity issues. His latency keeps on bouncing between 40-60ish (pre-update normal) and up to 300ish. Any one else experienced similar, or know possible fixes?

This happened to me earlier, up to 400 ping. I eventually just rebooted the game and it went back to the 40-60 range.
Man i feel like i cant get a grip on the game mechanics. Feels like it controls harder and cant get kills as fast as i did in the beta.
Yeah the controls and pace everything feels heavy. Especially that I'm playing BLOPS4 everyday since launch. There's no such thing as best weapon in Destiny, unless you mean cod ;p
Moving in Destiny is like being in mud. I am done with that game. I gave it 4 years, im done.

yeah, i take it slow, don´t shoot a lot and come consistently into the Top 10 now, patience is the key
another great perk is the one that lets you see vehicles...i often snag myself a helicopter, fly into the circles, land, hide somewhere and wait for the next circle. works good so far
Forsaken is a great expansion believe me. Don't miss it! In COD I run the ICR with grip 1&2 + QuickDraw. VAPR feels nice while shooting and definitely a monster but I need to control its recoil

I've never been this conflicted over a game purchase. My finger is practically on the buy button.
I loved PUBG for the first few months, but the bad gunplay and pure jank got old. BOBO seems to be leaps and bounds ahead in those categories. I'm not sure why I haven't bought it.

Default stick curves. Default sens ingame but sometimes I wish I could control 5 sens. Probably could if the sticks weren't so loose tbh

The one thing that makes me hesitant is the lack of customization unlocks, especially in Blackout. However, I can see them adding more skins/gear as time goes on. No way Activision misses out on that market.
