Yes, it comes as buds. any corner store will have rolling papers and most will also have cheap water pipes. You can also go to a dedicated head shop.

I don't know how to roll either and would leverage other people to do it for me in the past. But otherwise you need to buy dried flower (category they call for bud), a grinder, and paper to roll them yourself.

Your Canadian record might get wiped clean but the existing databases that the US has collected remains intact

So this concerns cross-border drivers or flyers, if they ask questions about your priors... the US still has all the your record history if you have on, so you can't presume that the record has been wiped clean South of the border

Makes sense because that's how it's always been. The US doesn't recognize Canadian pardons if they find out you had a conviction before you were pardoned.

Not gon lie... I've never tried Marijuana... I was a good wittle boy, and even as adult... still wary of the stuff, but now it's legal... I wanna be able to try it once to say I did it.

I may order some online sometime, and vape it, I dunno

So for a newb like me, and looking at the OCS site, what would be ok?
From as far as I can remember, smoking always gave me anxiety and dizziness. A bit of a "oh I have to sit down rollercoaster" kinda thing.
I guess it was from indicas?

So get something that is SATIVA but what about THC and CBD?

The THC would generally be the compound that gives you the psychoactive effects which would probably trigger your anxiety. Balanced indica is probably the safest weed to smoke in terms of not triggering you anxiety but could easily ruin your day by making napping intensely desirable.

I ordered 2g yesterday, 1 each of White Widow and Blueberry Kush. Such a strange feeling, having it all so open and accessible. I'll have to see how this compares to my buddy's, haha. I don't mind paying a premium and the prices aren't way out of whack, but on the black market I could still get a quarter (7g) for $35 - hard to beat friend prices.

Get something indica or an indica hybrid.

CBD % isn't that important if you're using it recreationally. My fav strains are susally ~15-20% THC and just a percent or two CBD.

If you see any 'purple indica' or 'purple kush' strains, they will probably be good for a low-anxiety high.

Ahh yeah, that's a good point. I thought you were some illogical scared of using credit card on internet person like my step Dad.

Luckily I didn't plan to buy anything soon as I travel to US every 1-2 weeks.

I just swallowed my pride, admitted my ignorance and ordered something that was pre-rolled. The OCS website has them in addition to the actual plants and oils if you're vaping. I may switch over to vaping in time, if I plan to keep this up regularly, since I quit smoking a year ago, and smoking marijuana is just as harmful for your lungs as smoking cigarettes. Strangely, insurance in Canada doesn't see it that way yet, but it's only a matter of time.

I went out shopping and didn't smell nothing. Disappointing.

This is going to be a whole lot of nothing. There will be some hype for awhile and there's always going to be vocal minority who will constantly bitch about it, but the concerns will pass and people will go about their business like normal.

Damn, see the smoking harm to my lungs is what really turns me off marijuana. Whats the best way to smoke while minimizing lung damage?

Using vaporizers eliminates most of the harmful physics from smoking out the equation. Basically it's because you're inhaling "steam," from something that's been vaporized from a liquid, rather than inhaling actual smoke, where the physics of combustion are creating toxins like tar that go into your lungs. I suspect now that both joints and cigarettes are on a "level playing field" in terms of legality, no one is really going to push the "smoking marijuana is healthier for you than smoking cigarettes," myth. From a chemical perspective, inhaling anything that's burning is just not great for you on a long enough timeline.

Vaping will be the method of choice by many Canadians. Not just for the health differences but it's the stink that is going piss people off the most and vaping cuts down on that.
The growers will be getting their own share of complaints. That skunky stink is not going to be popular.

I'm curious about this. I'm basically committed now anyway, since I placed an order last night, with credit card, and got my email confirmation, but how much of an effect is this actually going to have? Like are the Customs & Border Patrol going to stop every single person, and look through their credit card transactions from October 17th onwards, and just bar anyone from border crossing, or getting on a plane if they see a business name they recognize? Or are they still only going to care if the background check brings up a criminal conviction?
