Got 3 out of the 5 ARs Gold. I swear, if it wasnt for hardcore I dont think I wouldve been able to do any of the cano challenges past the 100 headshots

So ... I gotta ask ...

I really liked BO3 ...
I hated WW2.
I kinda liked Advanced Warfare.
I disliked Infinite Warfare..

How does this one hold up? Gameplay wise?
This is me (Excepted that i loved Advanced Warfare :p). I enjoy BO4 for now, better when you play with friends tho'

It's only on when you press LT to aim. So if you hold LT down and walk, it'll always be active and enemies should always see it.

I'm loving the strobe light. Partly because of the bright light but also because of how tight it makes aiming. I was destroying people with it.

I had extended mags 1 & 2 and the attachment that gives you 2 more pellets.

Might switch it up and put Scavenger and maybe substitute extended mags 2 for long barrel.

Jesus, that looks like a shitton of fun. I'll definitely give it a try.

In many ways this game is a continuation of what they did in Black Ops 3. The only thing they dialed back is how OP some of the specialists were and the fact the movement system is more grounded. Everything else seems to be an evolution of BO3. Since you really liked that, I'm sure you'll enjoy this. WW2 and IW had a completely different design philosophy than what Treyarch does.

Yesterday I picked the game up on PC and played a couple of hours, here are some of my thoughts.

The first thing I had to try (of course) was the Zombie mode, only played the IX map though. The map is really cool, although quite confusing in the beginning. It surprised me that it started immediately, I wasn't even a second in the game and the first zombie came running towards me, lol. I like that Juggernog is now basically always active, makes the games longer and really gives you the chance to explore the map, which I really needed as I was completely lost at the start. Haven't checked out any of the easter eggs yet, I was mostly just enjoying exploring the map and killing some zombies for now, will jump back in when I get home.

The second thing I tried was the regular MP. And as some of you guys already mentioned, it feels A LOT like Blops 1 and 2 which is great! I have only played one match so far though, but my first experience was solid, I really enjoyed it. At first I was kinda scared that they were going more towards a Rainbow Six or Overwatch kind of thing with the equipment and ''heroes'' you can choose, but in the end this was a misplaced concern, it's still CoD and that's a good thing. Will have to play some more but so far I am pleasantly surprised, after not liking any CoD MP since Blops 2 it feels really good to finally play a CoD game again that feels more like that game did.

Lastly I played 2 rounds of Blackout, haven't had a great experience with this one so far, my first round I got killed immediately after hitting the ground and in my second game I got disconnected at 10 players left. There is clearly a graphical difference between this mode and the other 2 but it still plays fine. I think it's pretty cool how they implemented maps from older games in the Blackout map, was nice to see maps as Raid again. Really have to try some more rounds when I get home.

In the end, I had a good time with my first couple of hours playing. Clearly haven't played enough yet but so far I am happy with how this game turned out to be, was kinda skeptical at first but it seems like Treyarch managed to set things right after the (imo) mediocre Blops 3.

Glad to see you're enjoying things! As for Zombies, you can play with bots and set the difficulty to Easy: the matches can take an insane amount of time to finish like this (2-3 hours even if you're not very good) but at least you learn tricks and stuff from each map without risking death every two seconds. As for multiplayer, you'll see how there's a Siege-like teamwork system encouraged but at the end of the day it's still COD, you can run and gun at ease as always. As for Blackout, yep, there are some technical hiccups and such, plus the tickrate makes even more firefights end up in questionable ways, but this is clearly a BR mode they've made relatively in a hurry and it's already impressive in many ways, when they fix some of the problems with time it'll truly be even more special. I personally really enjoyed BO3 as well but it was indeed a different game at that point, this game feels a lot closer to BO2 in many ways. Welcome to the party ;)

Didn't know about bots in Zombies, sounds great! Can you also use bots when you're playing with someone else? So, 2 players and 2 bots? And yes, there is definitely more strategy involved in the MP but as this was my first and only match so far I really have to look into the possibilities :P Blackout will probably improve over time because like you said, it feels a little underdeveloped, nothing wrong with that, it's still a lot better then previous BR games I tried. Thanks again for the recommendation, really happy with my purchase so far :)

I'm sure you can use bots in local play, as I tested the game in splitscreen together with 2 bots. I am not sure about online, haven't tested that yet, maybe someone else can help on that?

Gif'd one of my cooler runs I got tonight with this monster. I give it a week till it starts flooding the games I get put in.

Not ready for this to get nerfed.

Never played Zombies before in CoD but looking to get into it with this game. Only problem is, I was completely overwhelmed when I went into IX for the first time, is there a tutorial or any help for newcomers anywhere?

And here I thought the shotguns were complete trash. Pleasantly surprised.

I thought the same. Couple people told me a few pages ago theyve had luck with it, so I figured I'd stick it out past the shitty base version. No regrets.
What attachments? Long Barrel, Choke, Rapid Fire and Fast Mags?

It seems like ADS actually makes a difference with it. I tend to just hipfire with the shotgun and it's not nearly as deadly as it is in your gif.

Those attachments & stock. It's great for strafing which I always do when ADSing. And the rapid fire is for armored / 200 hp for a quick double tap. I have 5 attachments & acoustic sensor for my 10th point just so I can get an idea of where they are when I rush. Which is constantly.

Honestly only the long shot challenge is really difficult in core because most maps are tiny, i finished mine in jungle and icebreaker. Now smgs and shotguns are a different story for sure and i'll probably not even bother lol.

I may have to actually start using that gun. I love me some shotguns.

Yea. The maps dont compliment AR long shots at all. Hardcore saves lives.

Just won my first Solo Blackout game, one of the best and most intense chicken dinners I've ever won. I ran out of bullets for my SMG and all I had left was the fucking Hellion rocket launcher(no idea why I even picked it up...), and I nailed the last player right in the chest with my very last rocket as they rushed me...I don't think I'll ever top this finish

I did that Antonio Banderas gif in real life, so fucking good

Wow, nice. I'm almost more shocked at the fact there's only 2 players alive and the penultimate circle yet had to close in. All my top 2/3 finishes consisted of running at each other in the final circle.

Just finished downloading on pc and jumped in a game of blackout. I can see the HUD but other than that everything is black.
Anyone else have this issue?

???

The first thing the game prompts you to do is play the tutorial?

I've been playing Blackout since launch and have never once seen or gotten Level 3 Armor. Is there something I'm doing wrong here? It's all random, correct?

Personally I've only ever found it in supply drops and such, never on the ground or as random loot. They've made it a lot more rare, which is great imho.

Got they better not nerf shotguns. They are always the most fun weapons to use but they seem to always get shafted. Either god-like or useless. I think having to invest in so many attachments balances it a little.

And here I am yet having to find a character. Then again I only played 20 matches and I was not actively looking for any.

I've come to realize that Quads in Blackout is just not for me and honestly doesn't even feel like the same game. It's much harder to mobilize 4 teammates quickly when the shit hits the fan and it's also more complicated trying to sort out who gets what loot, etc...Just like in a any teambased game if one Quad manages to surprise and kill one of your teammates it's now an instant 3v4 situation which sucks.

Compound this with the lag and shitty performance on the X1 (only in Quads, duos and Solo is great) and it just feels really off.
