That video is pure gold. It's like they ran out of money and hired some kids to do the commercial.

Just got around to seeing to vid. What the fuck? That's some overly dramatic late 90's CG right there.

One thing I didn't see discussed was the pricing. Looking at the site (never heard of these people before), and seeing comparable designs the watch should be like $5000 dollars base? lmfao.

"To have peace, war is required". It really isn't.
"To keep order, first there must be.. CHAOS". There really doesn't

Rolled my eyes so far back I almost fell over.

Almost as ugly as a Richard Mille

You're right in which they (the pen and the warth) are tasteless, but always makes me smile when people tries to shame Richard Mille's and Hublot's when they made some of the most iconic watches from the last quarter of century (and amongst the most succesfull brand in the market, despite being very new).

I want the person responsible for this video to make all the advertising in the universe.

Reminded me of that weird movie that was going around like 5 years ago made in Africa with all the super ancient CGI.

However, the commercial is incredible, a real journey. They spared no expense on the budget. Don't know how I missed this one.

As somone who is working on 3d animation i hope you were joking with that phrase.
The 3d models and enviroments are terrible, the animation garbage, the illumination basic and even all the transition effects made in after effects absolutely horrendous.

This was made by a subpar small studio, or, most probably, some interns to go the cheapestand tackiest possible route.
Although i have to say that it works with the terrible pen and watch design hahahaha

I thought the sarcasm couldn't possibly be more obvious so I left the /s out. Guess not.

If it were the 90s at the head of the nu-metal wave these might have made sense.

It took Richard Mille five generations of the 20 gram watch (strap included) they made for Nadal to make it able to endure the matches the king of the top spin was able to do, a feat that no other mechanical sport watch is abñle to do. And the weird design and mix of materials made it to stand out, which was the goal it aimed for. The aftermath: circular watches from Richard Mille start ~50K €, while rectangular ones do jump from 70K € and up. And you will need to await a few months to get one. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but technically they are marvels, and anyway the rich people which buy them do that to make a statement, and nothing better for that than a unmistakable watch).

Again, I garee: the Satllone's watch is a turd.

Normally with these kind of things a celebrity is merely attaching their name to product. In this case I honestly believe that he sat down and designed both of these.

The funniest part of this - late 90s video game CG aside - is that Montegrappa is legitimately one of the premier fountain pen manufacturers with some heavy prestige and quality associated with their name, lmao.

As an American with half Italian ancestry, this gaudy Italian-American machismo shit always made me cringe growing up, seeing it in my own extended family and friends' families.

Extra cringy in this day and age.
