So the first part of the "City That Never Sleeps" DLC comes out this time next week and I'm wondering if Spider-Man still has everyone's attention or if you've moved on to other things.

I know there was a bit of a hubbub here about the DLC being so close to launch, personally I prefer it that way. There are so many games that I really enjoyed that I never made it back to for post launch content due to having moved on to something else after 4-5 months. With this though, I still have that itch to swing around NYC a bit and a few hours of new gameplay every month is a welcome break from Assassin's Creed for me.

What're your thoughts/plans?

Yeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaah buddy.

Will play through NG+ whenever that arrives, too.

EDIT: It's tomorrow? Well then.

Yes, I like it when DLC are released not too long after the base game. That way the game is still fresh in my mind and I still remember how all the controls work.

Is it filled with MaryJane stealth sections? If so, absolutely.

In all seriousness, I think the base game was comprehensive enough for me for now. Might pick up the season pass a few months down the line when it's discounted.

I am loving AC: Odyssey right now so I will maybe check it out somewhere down the line but I have had my fill of Spider-Man for a while.

Only if it's really really really good, I'm exhausted after 100% don't really wanna play it anymore

I still haven't even started to play the game yet, still haven't finished DQ and now with Black Ops 4 and me being addicted to Blackout mode I will probably just wait until all the DLC is out to even start at this point.

Probably, but it depends. I find myself looking for ways to save money, and was wishing there wouldn't be DLC of substance, but if it turns out to be good I will be playing it for sure. I couldn't tell how big it would be based on the store description, but the price suggested it would be something of substance.

I used to buy all the major DLC and map packs for games I was playing, but am getting kind of tired of DLC.

I didn't finish the main game because I got bored and traded it in for AC Odyessy, so no.

There's DLC? What kind of DLC? If it's just more Taskmaster challenges or Kingpin lairs it's a skip. But story DLC? Sign me up!

idk. The game outside the main mission isn't really compelling. I wish there were more things to do than combat combat combat. The only good puzzles were the pattern-matching. The photographer missions aren't compelling, either. I really don't know how to make compelling gameplay in Spider-man outside of being Spider-man. Stealth sections with MJ could have been better. I have zero motivation completing the Black Cat stuff.

Decided to drop the game at around 40% completion. Will pick it up again once all the DLC releases as I know it will be difficult to step back in if I kept charging toward the end game.

Plenty to play in between the various dlc packs anyway.

Probably not, I platted the game. I might wait for a deep sale next year for the full game again and the DLC.

Definitely going to play it. It comes out with just enough time before RDR2, and I have still have a major craving for Spidey. I'll take any opportunity I can to take in more of Insomniac's version of this Spider-Man/Peter Parker story. Not to mention traversing through NYC, too.

I already sold my copy after I Platinum'd it, but if they do a GOTY Edition down the line I might rebuy.

I thoroughly enjoyed Spiderman, so it's an immediate buy for me. And I want to support Insomniac for developing new content and then asking for money rather than tying mtx to progression in their game that you already paid $60 for.

Not at launch, i'll probably wait til it's all out and them do them all in a row. Too many games I want to play coming in the next 6 months.

Yeah. When I finished it, I was eager for it to carry on so I'm happy the DLC is close to launch. Unless a game leaves an impression, if the DLC is coming out too far in the future, I tend to lose interest.

Hell yeah, pretty excited to go back into that game. It is also coming at a great time to make the RDR2 wait a little more bearable.

Considering two side quests ended with "well spider-man it looks like those villains are preparing to strike back...this winter! For $9.99!" and a major antagonist leaves the story for literally no reason at the 11th hour while proclaiming "I will return eventually!" I feel obligated.

It would be very unsatisfying if those blatantly unresolved hooks weren't resolved.

I just finished the main game and loved it, but will skip the DLC for now. I was a bit burnt out on the game after finishing and need to chill with gaming for a bit before RDR2 is out.

If the DLC is good—I.e. solid story content and not mostly challenges, bases etc.—I'll buy it later on.

No, once I finish a game I pretty much never replay it since I'm always moving on to another one.

I bought the 80 bucks edition, but after finishing the game I really have no desire to play more.
