The exhibitions were exactly the same in FH3. That game had a shitload more championships compared to this though where coming top 3 actually mattered.

I might go back to the very beginning, FH3 was my first Horizon game and I'm struggling to enjoy FH4 as there's no clear goal.
How does it all work in the earlier games?
There has never really been a clear goal, the path to the festival was the "goal" in FH3 (wristbands in previous ones?), but it didn't take long to get there, then it's just a sandbox, like 4 is.
It's just that the sandbox comes earlier in 4, and they've (stupidly imo) shifted ALL the championships to the weekly seasons schedule.
There is nothing to stop you putting your own restrictions on the event, so don't move on till you finish first.
Why did coming in top 3 in championships actually matter in FH3?
I actually love this. It was like this in FH3 as well although it took me a while to figure that out. I like that I can drive any car I want even if I know I won't finish 1st because of that.
It's the UK, so winter will last forever, Spring will last a week and Summer will be disappointing.
Still slowly doing the festival stuff but enjoying my time so far. Not doing too well at the speed traps so I need a faster car.
Yeah the lack of championships and the lack of recognition for placements blows.
I'm cool with showing a race as completed regardless of placement... But they should have way more championships and unlock entry to them based on podium finishes.

Each season is reset on a Thursday. So the next season will appear in two days on the 18th October
Would you rather have placements as in Bronze, SIlver, Gold or placements in terms of 1st - 12th being iconized?
Either way would work for me tbh. Maybe even a mix of the two ideas ; 1st gold, 2nd - 5th silver, 6 - 12 bronze.

Completely agree. The whole system hints at some kind of plan of adding those real money Forza Tokens at one point. That plan seems to have been abandoned (like they reversed course for Forza 7's loot box stuff months ago but still haven't gotten around to actually patch it out as stated back then), but its impact can still clearly been seen in the game.

Had like a few people last night in EU. As soon as stage 3 with drifting came up, people sucked so had that I just abandoned the challenge, didn't feel like drifting for 10 minutes alone.
Same with every other type of event, really. People have no follow-through :(

I had a Forzathon last night where only two of us showed up, and the other person bailed before the first event was complete. I tried to finish the second event anyways (drift zone, the thing I'm the worst at) because I'm a masochist.
A few more cases like that and I'll probably start being much more mercenary about Forzathons, to be honest. Wasting 15 minutes of my time trying to eke out points and getting zero help from anyone else is stupid.
Are skill points per car or per account?
Meaning does each car gain separate skill points? I have like 8 for one of my early vehicles and I've been saving them because I want to spend them on a better vehicle.

Well that explains why I didn't have any skill songs until now. Tying that to a house just have an incentive to buy it is just stupid.
Also I drove around that general area like a 1000 times already and I'm wondering why I never found it.
Why is it stupid? Should everything really be handed out right when you start the game? I believe in the past this skill was also locked in one way or another through progression. The house doesn't cost 2 million credits or anything, $750K is really nothing in this game.
It's stupid because as seen in my case you can easily miss it and lose out on a lot of skill points that way.
Ahh ok, guess there was no point in me saving them haha. I'll have to spend them once I get home, thanks!
