I am glad I gave Fallout 4 another chance after those cool Bethesda docs by NoClip. I still hate the main story, it is bad. I think it is bad with how tied it is to the factions which kinda suck in the game.

But I loved the others aspects so I am happy this game has a lot of that and I can play with friends.

Any news on the soundtrack? I get that they reuse songs because of the era, but it has always been a disappointing thing that each game doesn't have it's own unique batch of old songs. I know some are new but they repeat a lot.

Considering my feelings on Fallout 4 and based off impressions and gameplay and information we've been given, this doesn't seem like a step in the direction that I would want Fallout to take.

If I end up picking this up, it will be only to play with friends, and it will be at no more than $30, which is already more than I would want to pay.

I feel the opposite. For me this was the next logical step. It all depends on how aggressive they are in supporting it and keeping it fresh. If they do it right this game could be really great. With that said it's hard to judge properly for me until the actual beta.

I've heard a lot of youtubers say that their shots wouldn't always register when an enemy was over a few feet away, are stress test players noticing this as well?

It felt fine to me. There were some very heavy lag spikes but it never felt like the shooting was off when aiming manually. If they were using VATS, it was still a diceroll based on the percentage, even if you were point blank.

kinda the opposite lol, I was mostly melee weapons and I felt a lot of hits missed when there was no way they could. I would be right in an enemies face and my hits wouldnt do anything for a couple swings then eventually they would contact. I swear it wasnt just me sucking at the game lol

I bet you that becomes a mod or option when they roll out private servers supposedly next year. For now, if you like PVP your best bet is to use the hunter/hunted mode:

Not bad. I think the vid poster makes a good point about it though, if the server has little to no one listening to that PvP radio it could be difficult to find players, but I don't think it would be hard to have server specific matches.

You can just rejoin and find a server with it being active. That's the nice part about the server system. All your stuff will just be there. Also World PvP events have been confirmed and there will probably be fights at workshops as well as people will try to claim them for resources.

Besides, the more I think about it, the more I think a BR mode can only be implemented through a mod. From what I've read, this map is huge for the number of players (24) on a server. It would need something like a blocked off map or shrinking circle on top of a 3-4X more players.

Has anyone even read the NDA? Theoretically, you all already broke it. :D

Correct, and because it's in real time, as you move around, the percentages will shift.

I know not much can be said on this, but did anyone just do it solo for the stress test? How was it? Would it be doable?

Here's a question I haven't seen asked yet: What is the difficulty like playing solo? Are people who played FO4 on harder difficulties going to have an easy time?

Like FO4 the start area was easy but I played in co-op with the wife and we wondered down the map to a large sawmill that had at least twenty Super mutants in it. These guys were over our level 6 characters and made mince meat of us!

You can deselect them in the quest log.

Hopefully theres a way to limit how many you want to show up on screen at a time. It got kind of hilarious in some of the greenbriar event footage.

You can select and deselect quests in Pip-Boy, like in prior Fallout games. When deselected, they don't show in the HUD.

I noticed this clutter too.
Outside of deselecting quests, is the HUD custimizable to improve immersion by hiding most of things ?
(or even better, everything ?)
