Tony Verlis Gatto, also known as Verlisify, has been pushing pretty hard on the alt-right politics via his Twitter. He also hosts a paid Discord for children to join. Pokemon is meant for children and the YouTube community around it should reflect the franchise.

He's also shunned by majority of the Pokémon online community and is even allegedly blacklisted by TPCi

I recently had to block him because I was getting fed up with his shit. He was the first person I ever blocked on Twitter

I did not come in this thread expecting verlisify to be the largest. I'm not on top of the Pokemon YouTuber scene but isn't he panned by most?

My first reaction was "Marriland?", fuck I've been playing Pokemon too long.

I'd guess TrainerTips is the current biggest Pokemon youtuber though. Never heard of this guy. Upon quickly checking, TrainerTips has double the subscriber count. Chuggaaconroy has triple. Both are seemingly wholesome dudes.

I mean you're allowed to. You're also allowed to defend Trump for saying "grab them by the pussy" like in that second tweet, but that doesn't mean you're right or that you're not a horrible human being for doing so.

Bad beliefs do deserve criticism. That's how society works. If you believe horrible things, don't be surprised when you're called out. The public sphere isn't a safe space.

Do you think kavanaugh was unjustly accused?? Because even gop senators and even trump said the testimony was credible and compelling after it was given.

The only video from him I watched was about how Let's go could still offer some strategic depth even without abilities and held items, and I liked it. But since then, I haven't watched anything from him (one video was about how Let's go "killed the pokemon community, and then I knew that he wasn't serious anymore)

I think they did as well. Discord communities are still a breeding ground for hate-filled ideologies to spread. If I have a Pokemon Discord community and ever so often I tell my community that family separation is actually a good policies and it's mostly a few people upset about it, then those in my communities will be influenced by that as well as my other discussions on how Gen 4 is the best Pokemon generation.

He constantly starts drama with people. He recently accused one PokéTuber who had a baby of being irresponsible for having a baby and then claiming he was using the baby for clicks and money.

He continually clickbaits with videos then insists he doesn't while chastises other youtubers who do similar. For example, he recently did a video calling it "First ever Pokémon Let's Go Battle" with a thumbnail from the game. It was on Showdown.

He cannot handle being proven wrong. He has blocked so many people for proving him wrong and even blocks people who liked my tweets to him, just because they liked my tweets.

The best thing to do with him is to let him scream into the void. According to his social blades his metrics are continually dropping. His tweets get no engagement.

Yeah Verlisify is probably one of the most toxic people in the Pokemon community. Dude has stirred shit in almost every Pokemon community, from competitive to casual.

Best way to describe him: he's the Keemstar of Pokemon. Yeah he's THAT bad!

Large portions of countries have gotten behind dangerous, offensive ideas before. That includes this one.

Objective morality may not be a thing, but more decent communities can subjectively believe that admissions of sexual assault, international embarrassment, and demonstration of every "ism" under the sun are bad things. If you disagree, that's on you.
