Is there a character redesign that is worse than Ken from SFV in this generation?

Same, I thought it looked horrible. Some of other designs were bad too though, but not like this.
Lmfaoooo is the short hair Ken the model for SFV? ... Those bushy brows, he looks like Rock Lee with blonde hair haha
This. He looks fuckin' dope. His anims, especially, are beautiful.
And again, I say:
My god did SFxTekken's artstyle sucked. It's like everyone is coated with orange tan oil. MvCi looks like an ArcSys game by comparison.
That's an alt costume. Probably his worst. The other image is his default look.

It was SFV Ken that caused the game to bomb. Dude was the most popular/used character online in SFIV, and when fans saw what happened to him they refused to buy the game. It wasn't because of the poor content at launch, that didn't hurt SFIV sales and even with the Arcade Edition re-release that didn't turn the game around. And that included Arcade mode, Story mode, and challenges. What the arcade mode didn't include was the patch to Ken.
Even Capcom knows if people see Ken they won't buy the game. That's why they released a costume that covers him completely and refuse to put him on the box art. They even removed him from the cinematic.
If it wasn't Ken, then what caused the poor sales?!
Not sure if serious.
This has been discussed to death since the game released more than 2 years ago.

It's shitty what happened to Vanessa in VF5.
Fortunately it's possible to customize her to more closely resemble her VF4 design, but that does little to excuse this gross decision

To me, SFV is like the 3rd Strike. Not a mainstream hit, but man is the game good. Way more balanced than the casual entries like 2 and 4.
So, to me, there's absolutely no correlation to Ken's goofy face (and it's only the zoomed in face that looks odd) and SFV not selling. And SFV not selling doesn't mean quality to me, so there's nothing linking Ken's face to anything. So this is just a Ken hate thread, masked with a weak argument about sales.

Ken's SFV model isn't that bad. It's just the select screen angle, lighting, and yellow ass teeth that make him look like trash. Guile's face, on the other hand...

I know thr thread is purposely exaggerating but Outside of the hair I thought people overall liked his design, and even then I findbthr hair complaint overblown, its just a hair art style design most likely done to look like hair without using the physics that bogs down performance
They literally are completely different characters. I think that was kind of the point of the reboot.
The original Sonic designs were a brilliant tribute to the transformative power of games. If you're wearing running shoes then you're fast, if you're wearing boxing gloves then you're strong. Conforming Knuckles' physique to popular stereotypes regarding toughness and dumbness was the work of unimaginative bigots.

I just played WW a few years ago and honestly I think the hate against the change was way overblown (woah that never happens on the internet!). His look in game fits very well with everything that is going on I think. Everything is super edgy I agree, but it doesn't really feel out of place or a complete 180 from SoT. SoT is pretty fucked up. WW felt like a direct continuation.
