Nah, Xiba with his baby face+full grown buffed dude generic body is awfull. Make him a scrawny savage teen and we'll talk. Worse character model/design in the entire series for me.
Dunno man, but I agree and have said it before. Love Nier/Nier Automata but 2B and this franchise don't fit at all. I'm also for new characters instead of guests but I know guests sell more copies so there's that.
To answer your question tho, some people are just that lonely.
Not really, it has a sound logic to it: Amy's design is simple enough visually to accomplish in the creation mode, and there is Raphael's fighting style to choose which extremely similar to Amy's.
Dawg, this is a franchise that had fucking star wars characters. People want 2B because they like her. Don't know why people get so judgemental over guest characters people want and try to say stuff like, "They don't fit," when almost all of the guest characters we've had (Link, Spawn, Necrid, Heihachi, Starkiller, Yoda, Darth Vader, Kratos) don't fit at all.
I've only played a bit of Nier, but 2B is an awesome design, she's HELLA popular, and would likely make people that wouldn't buy SoulCalibur buy it.
Put her in.
Put in Negan if it'll get more people to buy SC. I don't care who it is if the benefit is more people buying the game.
Has Soul Calibur ever had a character with a "charge up" mechanic? I'm thinking something like G from SFV or Bullet from Blazblue, only maybe the charge up would carry across rounds so it doesn't feel arbitrary (like Claudio's Starburst in T7).

I know where you're coming from. I've stated that I get why people want them since I also loved the Nier games, and it would help the franchise be more popular but my tastes also say otherwise. I've also hated and barely played the characters you named.

Nightmare comes pretty close, though people just use it to make his 6B go half-screen, deal like 30%, and guard crush.
True but the charge up stuff for Nightmare just adds to an already good moveset, it's an enhancement but arguably not the core "pillar" of the character's design.
i dunno, I could just be asking for something that's very difficult to pull off but considering how 2D-esque the series is anyway, I think this could be a cool thing.

Might be true for some, but more likely they just like the character, know that no franchise is off limits as a guest character, and are expressing interest to see a character they like put in another franchise.
I loved the design of the 3 Star Wars guys in 4. I've wished since that game they would do a full fledged Stars wars fighter. I think thy would do it justice.

Apparently Lizardman has a new autoGI move and at least 3 different weapon models (hatchet, silver axe, fancy golden axe). The Lizardman in that recent art can't be made in the CaS, because you can't put chest pieces on them. It's the SC4 lizardman armor, too.
I think this more or less confirms Aeon himself is in, but... how are they handling this??? Is he an unlockable? Is he DLC? Considering he was being indirectly showcased for weeks, you'd think they would be ready to announce him soon.

You can edit the regular characters (even extending to Geralt unlike previous guests) but they're saved in the same slots as your created characters.

Why would Warner Bros want their characters to show up in other FG franchises when they already have their own? This isn't a "Capcpom collaborates with SNK" situation, Warner Bros is much more controlling of the characters.
Also Wonder Woman would be ludicrously expensive.
New Samurai Shodown is coming out. I hope a crossover comes from that as well. Geese already in T7. Put Yoshi in there and pull in ukyo or tam tam.

DLC speculation time...
- Characters like Yun-seong, Rock, Setsuka, Hilde, and Li Long seem to be completely missing in action (though some are mentioned in Museum mode).
- We've seen Edge Master, Hwang, and Lizardman with old designs. Lizardman gets his moveset from SC1 or 2 but no indication he's playable.
- We've seen Cassandra and Amy with new, intricate designs.
- Looking back to the big Facebook poll from 3 years ago, Cassandra and Amy are the characters with the most votes who are currently not in SC6.
- Out of all the returning characters in Lost Swords, Cassandra and Amy are the ones who haven't returned to SC6 yet.
- I think there's no doubt that "waifus" have the highest sales potential as DLC (I don't like putting Amy into the waifu category, but I think that's how Project Soul sees her).

His character design in his art and personality are the high points of the franchise for me, because it's the least edgy, overtly objectifying, or boring, all while capturing the Sun Wukong/Journey to the West inspirations superbly.
Especially compared to several female characters that are solely defined by their titties and are beloved.
Also A) some people just always have baby faces and B) a scrawny body without muscle would literally contradict the fact he's a trained martial artist. Bamco's inability to stray from generic 3D model body types is irrelevant.

You can't? Are you sure? The original lizard we saw with LM's moves had some kind of chestwear, and hell, Lizardman in SCIV could equip chest armor, and that's the same exact model they've used for custom lizards. It would be a bizarre restriction.
