Every time I see a new Kill la Kill figure I hope that a Ragyo gets made...

I really should stop giving myself false hopes lile that.

She's a little too old looking, Bombless . Those figures take time. Only reason the doc from Persona is getting made is that Atlus intentionally made sure that even the older women had a "cute" thing going on.

Yeah, not impressed with her face. I already have an amazing Mai tho, so it doesn't bother me at all.

I realized I never gave Tharja a turn since I got my full light tent set up, so here she is to go along w/ Camilla and Cordelia:

She's such a magnificent figure, but really requires from eye level or below for best viewing so she has to go on a relatively high shelf. There are a few photos with more angles over at Figure AGE on MFC.
These are great pics! Yeah Tharja is definitely one of my favorite figures. Her and Cordelia go so well together.

I keep hearing about new Kill la Kill figures announced. Is there any pictures?

Yes there are pics of the sculpts. But they're just a little on the NSFW side. They're basically Onsen versions of Satsuki and Ryuuko like Amakuni also did for the ladies from Muramasa. You can find pics on Myfigurecollection or ohnoraptors blog like usual. Being that they're from Amakuni, they'll be exclusive, so $$$.

Aren't all of the Digimon figures exclusive though? It seems like MegaHouse does that with a lot of their figures these days.

Most of them are Megahouse/Bandai online exclusives, but some do pop up on Amiami. Big in Japan and even Crunchyroll (although they don't post them Day 1 for pre-order) do offer the exclusives, though.

Big in Japan is a proxy so that doesn't preclude it being an exclusive. Exclusives pop up there and on Nippon-Yasan all the time.

I'm not sure if the user who posted the Persona OP is a member of this community, but we've clarified our NSFW policy in here before. If it is NSFW, questionably NSFW, or borderline NSFW, do not post it on this site.

The OP of that thread has, up until this point, never posted in Figure Era.

It wasn't, but if that's considered NSFW then half of the threads on ERA need to be locked. All Neptunia threads, Nier threads, Persona threads, Etrian Odyssey threads, Fire Emblem threads, and so on. I'm just saying.

Can't you check that person's post history, it is a bit unreasonable to expect us to manage every ERA member that owns a figurine.

edit: just saw you reply, nm.

If I wanted to be even extremely conservative on how I would consider what "NSFW" material would be, a suggestive pose like that baring no skin whatsoever, would not be something I would label as such. I think the thread just derailed and people started to complain.

As you said, I've seen PLENTY of suggestive art in poses like the figure, that are merely accenting a feature, rather than being lewd or nude, that have been posted all around the site before. Bayonetta cover art might as well be tossed in there, too, or anything on her.

Is there a reason for this clarification, other than guilt by association?

My apologies if I'm out of line here, but this feels unfair given how we've taken the prior NSFW statement to heart and have been careful with posting anything that could be considered against Era policy.

It would also help if Era set up guidelines describing what it sees as NSFW. Because if that Makoto figure was, then half of Era is.

Hi, I wasn't blaming Figure ERA for the thread. Y'all seem to have been doing a good job. I just wanted to step in and remind of the NSFW policy since I figured some in this thead would have questions.

I think we pretty know what the mods here think of those filthy Japanese figure collectors.

Agreed. What I would consider "NSFW" would involve very suggestive poses/too much skin/etc. I think we've done a good job ourself in here not posting anything beyond that. But if this is the case, most character art period, cannot be shown. And that's pretty rough, I have to say.

Wouldn't it be better to do a reminder as an announcement to everyone rather than just to us? I'm not saying I have a problem, but it feels like it'd be better to remind people site wide rather than in just this thread.

If that thread got locked because the Makoto figure was too lewd, then this thread is done. Even on this very page there's a King of Fighters Mai figure which bares more skin than that Makoto.

I will look into seeing if we can make our NSFW policy more clear site-wide.

By proxy this would mean that all KoF threads should be banned, because they're going to have screens and art of Mai in the OP/thread.

Really not trying to argue, but the reason the thread was locked IMO is because of some of the responses rather than the figure itself. Because if it's because of the figure itself, then half of Era needs to be purged, from Bayonetta to Fire Emblem.

It's confusing because the pose is barely even suggestive, and not obscene. Then there's the fact that she's fully-clothed. Like, what are we even trying to censor here? If it gets posted uncensored on a mainstream web store, then it shouldn't be considered offensive.

Yeah, if anything it was the tangent that went off in the post with those for/against it, that ultimately locked it, not the figure itself. I only browsed through, but saw typical responses in those kinds of discussions. Persona 5 has tight suits etc, which by default would also not be allowed. Then it would get down to "what cover art sold in retail is appropriate for THIS site?" as many, safe of retailer cover art, also has suggestive poses etc on it.

Everyone knows what kinds of lewd figures I like to buy. But never in a million jillion years would I have guessed that Makoto was too NSFW for any website on Earth.

Even pictures of a Victor from Yuri on Ice figure got removed for being NSFW. Fully clothed and not much worse (if at all) than actual figure skating shots, mind you.

This is baffling.

Hello. I just wanted to clarify that the thread in question was generating a large number of reports and that other users did have real concerns about it not being safe for their work. The red post in this thread was not intended as a reprimand but as a gentle reminder, but in hindsight we acknowledge that this may have come off as guilt by association. We regret that. As Nicole has already stated, you've done a good job of policing yourselves and we appreciate that very much. Please keep it up. We are not looking for reasons to moderate anyone; we are far too busy for that.

The only thing I feel the need to mention, is that I don't think it's fair that it's always figures, rather than 2D art, that get the complaints. It's almost like an anti-favoritism, where people feel the need to report it more, over 2D art or something. At least, it's something I've always noticed. Not trying to be a "figure defense force", but it's not something I want to see as a double-standard elsewhere on the site. I wouldn't want to worry about posting pics, because I thought I knew what is/isn't ok. The other topic definitely got more views, due to being on the main gaming page, so more people... sensitive about it, would definitely say something. (And personally, as far as commenting on it not being safe in a workplace, they probably shouldn't be looking at this site at all, or any gaming site, due to accidental Bayonettas, 2Bs, etc., and the figure itself WAS thumbnailed under a quote, which is still fairly small for anyone to really see, even on my 27" monitor, unless they chose to maximize it themselves).

I just worry about things going further with "what is permissible" on here, in general. Especially if the Victor figure was taking off (if it's the GEM figure, was it cause his butt was sticking out?)
