Jews are a fairly consistent and powerful Dem voting bloc but a) they are fairly concentrated, and we could lose that bloc without much ill effect b) there are many Jewish people who are on the right side of this and do not support the illegal settlements and atrocities and c) it's simply the right and ethical thing to do. We can't support an ethnostate in the Middle East. We just can't.
I'll keep saying it- if the Democratic Party isn't going to be any better than Republicans then what's the point?

Yeah, slowly changing with an emphasis on the 'slowly'. Outside of fringe elements of the party like Sanders and Ocasio-Cortez, Democrats in the House and Senate have had very little bad to say about Netanyahu, and many of the presidential hopefuls in particular, ie Warren, Harris, Booker are not only super pro-Israel, but are scared to death of even remotely being perceived as having criticized it (see Booker's incident with the 'no walls' sign). I seriously doubt Netanyahu's political party of choice is going to dent Democratic support for Israel anytime soon. This really isn't an issue that Democrats need to be defended on, it's alright to criticize them on this without having to bend over to try and cushion those complaints.
I read a poll somewhere that showed younger American Jews are more likely to be anti-Israel, organizations like JVP & IfNotNow are huge these days, unfortunately, a bunch of Jewish college students don't have much lobbying power.

Ive spent a good amount of time in Israel on Kbbutz Nir David throughout my life. I have dear friends who live there and I love visiting. That does not excuse behavior such as this.
