Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 |OT| Late to the party

There is a "weight" to this game that I honestly wasn't expecting. Found it a little jarring at first to how I remember WW2 being but I definitely prefer it.

It's the same as WWII that I used to play on an i7 4970K and sabertooth board.
I changed settings, I installed new drivers, I tried the game on fullscreen, windowed, doesn't matter. Sometimes I get games with 0 stutter and sometimes I do. It usually happens when I encounter other players or start firing.
I even updated realtek audio drivers (or tried to play on my external SB card). Can't be Gsync either as it's only activated in fullscreen on my setup...
Don't drop out where everybody else drops, start off at the quieter parts of the map and it feels more like PUBG.
What do you guys feel is the best game mode in multiplayer to rack up kills in order to unlock weapon attachments?
I always destroy my KD at a COD launch by running and gunning while unlocking attachments, wondering if anyone knew the best game mode for me to do this?

Honestly thought I'd hate this Call of Duty since I've been with the franchise since Call of Duty 2, but man how wrong I was. This is phenomenal.
Where you located? Wi-Fi or Ethernet?

It got better yesterday evening, but it's horrible this morning.
Is it just me that finds the audio in blackout terrible compared to other BR games? sometimes footsteps in the same building dont sound anywhere near loud enough and sometimes people in another building sound like they are on top of me.
They havent done anything to the bad audio mixing. Friendly footsteps are still way too loud.
The XboxOne/X version in general didnt get enough care. Maps like Icebraker have framerate issues, BlackOut Squads is still a almost unplayable stutter mess. Im so happy we had a beta for this thing /s
zombie mode is cool but there are hard crashes when you use the elixir station...bluescreen with error code on PS4Pro, should have polished this more, really unacceptable for such an high profile release
I'm on the "best cod in a long time" train. Only played a few games of blackout and snagged a solo win. I wasn't expecting the regular MP offering to take me away from Blackout - but it has.
It's so much fun, Control especially, that I'm about to prestige and keep going - something the past couple of releases really didn't inspire me to do.

It's also worth noting that this is the first CoD since... forever without lootboxes.
I mean, they can add them later, but there is no indication. WW2 had microtransactions and free lootboxes from the beginning. Every CoD had some form of "currency". There is nothing like that in BO4 as far as I can see. Unless I'm blind.

I was really excited when I saw custom games...until I realised there was no server browser and I guess you can only play games with friends this way?

It's dumb if the store page doesn't list whether or not it has controller support.
Uhm they WILL add these later. You can already see what kind of crap you will get out of them.
And you already get CoD Points for BO4 to use when you preoredered the game.

If there were a server browser with official and custom games this would be the CoD of forever with everything else the game has to offer.
They're going to add the loot boxes later, just you wait... and they're going to be disgusting.
That arctic base map looks goddamn incredible, the ice and snow white with the oranges of the materials really looks incredible on the Pro and in HDR. In fact from the 45 minutes I've played the map design seems to be really good. My only complaint is that I die too fast especially so quickly after spawning, and I feel like the enemy always knows were I am. It could be that I was playing without headphones and the TV sound was on low, and that I didn't know the maps yet. Also it feels like you die too fast, even with the 150 hp. Enemies can body slide out of my vision when I'm shooting them but I die from 3 bullets.

I know Hardpoint with a team used to be really good (haven't played it or with a team), Domination is probably your best bet solo.
it's probably the smoothest cod launch I can remember lol for console anyway lots of crashes on pc
it was set to 100% changed it to 200% and thats what i expected it to look. my fps go down to 30 though :(
guess i need to live with 150% @60fps
even though i have a good PC. I get >110fps (max settings) in PUBG for example.
Playing squads blackout on Xbox one or X is really bad. Worst than the beta.. Have they said anything about fixing it?
I don't understand how some reviews don't mention this problem with Xbox. (I know they only sent ps4 review codes, but still..)
Wow this game is buggy on PS4. I've had a few crashes back to PS4 menu, and none of my stats are saving in blackout.
Haven't played blackout yet, but the multiplayer is the best in years. It takes some time to get used to the flow though, the game is surprisingly very fast despite being a boots on the ground COD.
Militia is the only map that i don't like out of the 14, so that's nice as well.

So I finally got in a good 7 hour session tonight. I'm digging the multiplayer a lot feels like blops 2. Zombies is okay never was a zombie guy. Blackout I think is cool but needs a little work. Also super bummed that there is like no cosmetics for blackout feel like there is nothing cool to shoot for. I'm sure there will be something down the line but it would've been nice to have for launch.
Played blackout duos for several hours. I don't have any detailed impressions other than to say that we both had a huge amount of fun. Never before has my friend enjoyed a COD game, but the battle royale execution is great.
Wow the bots are so component in Zombies that I don't think I'll play with humans ever again.
Plus they let you tweak every aspect of zombies. Finally. Giving me options I didn't even know I wanted.

Loving everything I've played so far. Played a few rounds of Blackout yesterday morning and found the mode surprisingly fun even though I'm not big on Battle Royale and the multiplayer is the most fun I've had with a Call of Duty game since Black Ops 2. I can easily see myself putting in a ton of hours into this game and going prestige multiple times.
Edit: Fun sidenote, Black Ops 2 is the only COD I've ever went prestige in. Coincidence I think not

Some of the Special Editions came with CoD Points, Supply Drops are 100% coming
Final circle in blackout needs some tweaking. Just had a situation where it ended at the hydro dam and there were 3 teams left who couldn't get to each other because of how the circle ended, we had a team below is with no way up and a team above us on the cliff top who couldn't get a shot on us.
I've never quite understood what's the replay/endgame of zombies? Are there multiple routes? Is it a score attack? Unlockables?
You can actually beat Zombies. There are specific things you can do, areas to enter, things to collect, events to trigger, bosses to beat in that game. It takes a dedication and a team all able to communicate to do it, usually.
It said I have a prestige token from playing in the beta? Where is it? I want to unlock the swordfish
