Interesting to see him speaking this almost on the same day it was revealed that Sony censored a game.
I'm not talking about whether they did right or wrong, I'm just curious to see if they're going to talk about it, especially with the game's audience, that is complaining a lot on social media.

And how has their communication being bad? They are literally doing or trying to do(where they can) what their fans are asking. Look at r/xboxone.

As for this topic in question, I like quiet Sony.
Me neither, but reading all those DualShockers/Gematsu comments, seems like the game has it own public (and there's a lot of them angry right now). I'm curious to see if someone at Sony will talk about this specific case.
Nobody at Sony is going to talk about this because frankly it's not an issue worth discussing. Sony censored a mode in the game where you grope underage girls. End of story.
Hopefully, more competition please, it's better for all of us.

Yeah, that's a "I'll believe it when I see it more than once" type of thing. Because in recent years, can't really say that the bigheads of house Playstation inspired a lot of confidence. Litteraly had to scream at them for months for crossplay (which they finally changed after several cases of "NUH HUH YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU WANT" and covering their ears), name changes finally coming years after it would've been nice, and still in a limited fashion as i've seen. The "4theplayers" motto became more and more ironic as they backtracked on a lot of the good will they built.
Most of all, they've been focusing most of their attention on their first party which all serves the same audience, while progressively giving less and less spotlight to indies and third parties. I think, lessso than xbox, it's Nintendo that has them beat hands down on how to distill information throughout the year with a variety of things. The direct format is a way more efficient and clear way to talk about upcoming things, and they even go the extra mile to have segments on games that have been released on previous platforms and still give them the presentation treatment.

A few weeks after breaking another record with a first party game? Xbox has Sony shook.
I can't see how Sony could feel any pressure at all they are hitting 90M very soon with RDR2.
Do not even get me started on 1st Party.. The only way I could see them feeling any "heat" was regarding cross-play but that's already on it's way.

This statement was made 2+ weeks ago, at the same time that they cancelled PSX.
Frankly, that's what I would normally expect from them, it's how they usually operate, and it's quite suspect that they're starting with these transformative changes only now that the next generation is looming on the horizon, and the competitors' standings are starting to improve. However, I doubt that next gen they will have the same free reign that they've enjoyed over the past few years, so that should force them to keep improving. Strong competition benefits everyone in the end.
MS will be more potent than this gen, but I don't see it being "competitive" at all, not in a global scale at least.

If it's a choice of censoring or not releasing the game at all, I'd take the censorship in all honesty. Censorship sucks in general but almost every country has their own rules and regulations, so I really dunno why anybody would expect a large organisation like Sony to not pay any attention to regional differences.
This appearing on the Steam version and XSEED's tweet mean that this decision was 100% within Sony. Valve isn't exactly a small organization.
I'm not some hardcore anti-censorship warrior, but I can't see Senran fans buying it on Sony now, especially given the strong PC support over the years.

I think the main feature of PS5 is that it'll accommodate a PSVR 2 more easily. I somehow love the mess of cables that PSVR (1.0, not the revision) has and the processing unit extension. The instructions and videos made it easy to setup, luckily.
However, PS5 won't need this separate unit and will have those ports directly on the console. HDR pass-through will obviously be a given as the revised version already does this. There'll be less of a mess with cables but I don't think PSVR 2 will be wireless. The FOV will be higher coupled with a higher resolution. "Move 2.0" controllers will also be there with more precise inputs. The prospects of a PSVR 2 sound exciting but I hope PSVR can still be used. It could function as the entry point and hopefully make VR more prominent. By then the price should have decreased a lot.

Honestly, I don't care, give me good games and that's it. Im in it for the games. Sure, communication is good, but it's not something I truly need. I need them to deliver what I want, games.

Those people may be "suits" and yeah, might come off awkward and lacking charisma. I'd prefer my gaming info raw. I'll take uncomfortable business men over paid actors any day.
Expand what Playstation Underground currently is. As it stands they use it to post a pre-recorded gameplay demo every now and then of some upcoming or recently released game. The original incarnation of it was basically some type of fanclub video magazine for PS fans. It featured demos, developer interviews, Q&A's and so on. Why not turn PSU into a monthly livestream that lasts an hour or so long? On it they can bring on various developers or Sony execs to talk about things and still squeeze in a love demo or two. Sony could've used that as a way to announce their stance change on crossplatform play or the name changes. That would've made a much bigger splash than just randomly dropping it on the PSblog without warning.
