Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 |OT| Late to the party

Hats off to Treyarch for a smooth launch. This is very significant, because WW2 was barely playable for the first month, and IW took a week or to stabilize.

I'm having tons of fun with regular MP. Treyarch listened to feedback and buffed the killstreaks; the Gunship is worthy of being the top streak in the game. And Blackout seems like the first BR I'll really get into. Fortnite is a very well-made game, but I could never get into it because of the building.

My friends and I always like dropping at the boxing gym. Always a good chance the mystery box is there with level 3 armor and there is always enough good guns to go around.

Ran into 4 of these guys tagged as "Nigz" tonight, on PC. They dominated 3 games in a row

Anyone getting PC crashes only in Blackout on PC? A friend of mine can't play Blackout, other modes are fine though.

I saw on reddit that camo on some weapons (the launcher?) causes crashes. If you have camo try removing it.

The large missing gap on the right side of the main menu is really stressing me out lol.

Like why couldn't they center it? It totally looks like something is supposed to be there but there isn't.

Edit: additionally why can't we change what the big tiles say? I'm not going to play squads for Blackout so I would rather have it be the solo mode for example.

Played a whole bunch of quad blackout with friends. Even though this is a faster paced game, it's still very much a good battle royale to idly chat in. I'm liking it a lot.

All these old maps feel weird now, very claustrophobic and zoomed in.

Anyone else get a bug where each time you shoot you immediately reload? It's very annoying. It only happens to me in normal multiplayer matches, hasn't happened to me in Blackout. On PC

I just had a game with randoms and it was more fun than anything I've done in PUBG.

You know an online game is good where you're still happy at the end of a match even when you lose.

Anyone else nope the fuck out when you see a match where there's a team of 5?

There's definitely something...off about this release.

The empty corner of the main menu, the weird pieced together specialist cutscenes that look like scrapped campaign cutscenes, the lack of info in the menus like when you get a new perk or such.

Would definitely be interested in hearing some insider info of what is actually going on behind the scenes.

Caved in and bought the game after the positive reviews. So far i am having a lot of fun, the shooting feels really satisfying and there are no wall running and jet back shit to deal with. Blackout is the best BR game I've ever played much better than PUBG or Fortnite. This year i bought the standard edition after years of buying the deluxe ones , i just couldn't deal with the extra wait for the DLC maps , wish Activision would've got with the time and offered new maps for everyone, keeping the playerbase healthy.

The old maps are annoying IMO. I didn't follow this game before launch so I didn't know they were recycling so many maps. Having what feels like 50% of the maps be old is cheap IMO. I am excited when I finally get a new map.

When I have 4.3k damage and my whole team has less than 1k... Like goddamn they were AWFUL.

In blackout is there a setting to see damage done to other players? My first game it showed the damage I did to the guy that killed me but now when I watch the killcam it doesn't show it. Is there a button to toggle it or something? I'm on PC

Got 12 kills in one blackout. Just obliterated people with a sniper.

Got to level 31 in MP, got a solo victory in Blackout and got to level 15 in Zombies while almost getting the "In IX, get to round 20 without opening a gate." trophy but I died two rounds short.

Think it's time I stop neglecting the world around me now and get to bed.

Man, this is the first game on the PS4/XBone that has actually made me want to pick one of them up, or get a PC that can play this. Love CoD, and this looks better than any other. Multiplayer is my jam, so I love that instead of going for a campaign they have three (what seems to be) polished multiplayer modes.

Is there an option to explore the BlackOut map by yourself offline?

This games zombies is the best zombies in any cod games just because of the bots alone.

I am terrible in blackout. 9 matches and only 1 kill. I think im doing it wrong.

Anyone else got the issue on boot up where you just have a black screen and can only hear the intro? I had to restart the game 3 times to get it to work. On the One X btw.

Played for 2 hours tonight. I need to get back my CoD MP mindset. I am shocked not many of my friends on PSN picked this one up. Starting to wonder if I should have gotten the PC version instead. I started to have fun the more I played and figured things out.

The gameplay is so fluid and fun. Really enjoyed it so far.

It's a solid multiplayer shooter. I like the TTK changes and the healing stuff. Gives you a chance to evade and regroup if you get dropped on.

Started my first game of Blackout just to show my girlfriend how it is/isn't similar to Fortnite. Ended up winning, and I've never gotten close in Fortnite to winning the game so as it got to like 5 players I was sweating and my heart was going crazy. When it was just me and the other guy in the tiny circle and I couldn't see him anywhere, it was such a thrill. He popped out from his spot and I happened to see him before he saw me and I got the kill. Phew.

Only had 3 kills total but dammit I won!

Treyarch I beg ya give us an option to turn off head bobbing. It's terrible.

My God this game is incredible. I got on to play a few warm up mp matches before trying blackout and next thing I know I am level 7 and it is super late. I have never tried zombies before but I am super excited to after seeing how great the mp is.

How do you change your skin in Multiplayer?

Question... how is Zombies suppose to be played_

If I do a public game, I get a level system, but if I want to play with friends only there is no such thing (the intro isn't even working on any scenario), so how should one play it?

Also, story wise, is it titanic first then back to the past?

Oh really? Mine has been ok, keep an eye on it as my previous One X fans really went for it on nearly every game. Found out that the box was faulty.

There's a menu with the specialists listed, I believe you press square to "showcase" the specialist you want.

Anyway, I can't stand the armour in Blackout. Still better than PUBG imo, but pretty much a dealbreaker right now. The game finally finished downloading so I was able to play multiplayer, and the first impression is alright. I've had more good matches than bad, and Nomad is amazing,

Man, I know the system isn't quite the same but seeing a 1.69 EKIA/ratio feels good.

So what's the consensus about this game?
I still can't decide between PC and PS4 version...

Ah man I played this at a buddy's place tonight, first cod since Black Ops 2. I'm itching to buy it now, had a ton of fun with multiplayer and blackout.
